Winter Events!

Hi there!

We're currently working on a list over winter events that will take place from November 'til the end of January. These are all IC events, naturally, and we'll be sure to make up a list of the dates for all the events later.

However, what we'd like for all of you to do, is come up with suggestions for the things you'd like to see. Do you want snowball fights? Winter ball? Skating rink? Let us know!

Now, we've offered two ways of making this happen...

For those of you who would feel more comfortable having your characters suggest something IC, we have a thread for that: HERE. And for those of you who would prefer doing this OoC, well, then you're in the right place.

Give us everything you've got and I promise every suggestion will be looked over and taken into consideration ^^

Don't know if you're still taking suggestions for that, but here are two.

There could be some form of talent show where the school encourages the students to show talents other than powers or the use of their power in a creative way. Like this, the characters who are more introvert will show themselves more and this could be good for future threads.

There could also be a ball, but with a catch: the school makes the pairing. Again, this could encourage more reserved characters to thread with other students they might not have the chance to interact with otherwise. You could choose if it's only male/female pairing or if the students can request a gender for their partner. They could separate during the ball, if they want threads with someone else also during it, but would have to come together.

I absolutely love the idea for a winter ball Bobby mentioned; that would be such a fun way to put characters together in awkward pairings.

I'm also not sure if this is still going (or the IC thread), but what if we had a school-wide Secret Santa exchange? That could be another event that brings together weird pairings since it would be randomly assigned by the school. Everyone would have to think about what sorts of gifts they'd get someone they've never met, and maybe this way the staff could also be involved in the event and meet some students or other staff.

Ohh I don't know if this would be all that great or not, but maybe a charity event? Like maybe the students and staff could wrap presents for the needy, there could be some types of pairings where people are put at a table randomly, or they could be grouped with friends? I was also thinking of maybe having a girls/boys action off type thing, and the money which is raised could go to a charity to get needy children toys for Christmas?

Remember that you guys can definitely orchestrate stuff on your own too! There's always IC action, particularly if it's something you think your character would do. I'm using Bo here to run a food drive type thing to get involved with:

I'm also all for the whole random pairing event thing. If someone wants to take charge of that, we can definitely offer up some help. There's totally going to be a ball of some kind, I can promise that.

Friday will definitely be there; I'll probably throw one or two others in as well.
