Half of him was annoyed with his friend, yet the half was completely amused by the fact that they were being chased by the football team. Phillip Prince had helped to orchestrate a small prank at a party that was going down by the lake. The small problem, it was on the boys from the football team. They did not take it lightly, especially since the prank was by a couple soccer guys.

"You're an arse!" shouted the nineteen year old before the two split into two different directions. Phillip was on the dorm side of the building, but he could not get inside. Standing outside in the cold, he quickly thought of a plan.

As he removed his shoes and socks, a shiver went down his spine. He better move fast because it was cold. Facing the wall, he started to crawl on it. This was one of the reasons why he loved his power. He made his way up fairly quickly, though slowed down a little whenever the wind blew his way. "Bloody hell."

He was not sure if he made it to the second or third floor, but when he saw a room with a light on Phillip crawled over there. He sat on the window ledge and knocked on the window. Hopefully, the person was awake. "Anyone there? In need to be let in here. I promise I'm not a killer," he said and continued knocking into the night.

The Greek history paper was almost done the study session she'd spent with Lara Jean the other had helped immensely. The reading boring articles about the Hellenistic period was a drag though. Trying to find one more quote to meet the paper requirements she clicked on yet another link for yet another article. Her eyes burned from staring at the screen for so long, but all she had left was the conclusion.

Emma's heard jerked up at the sound of knocking. Drats, she'd fallen asleep. Bleary eyed she rubbed at her face glad that she hadn't stuck to the key board again. The screen fluttered back to life as she nudged the mouse revealing pages of gibberish from her face. At least she hadn't lost the paper entirely that would have sucked so bad.

Was that someone talking? That in itself wasn't that weird because she had roommates, and all. But it didn't sound very feminine. Shuffling out to the main living area but nothing out there. So back in her room she yawned and finally looked out her own window.

Girlie scream enter here.

After her scream she nearly grabbed a pillow to throw at the window, but figured that wouldn't do much. Heart racing she edged over to the window. "How?" School filled with super powers, right. Tugging on her baggy hoodie she reached out toward the window then froze. "Okay you promise you're not a killer...but you're not a rapist are you?" Fear laced her words blue eyes wide awake with the adrenaline rush.

"Shit," he muttered when the girl screamed as she saw him. Well, what more had he expected really. It was in the middle of the night and there he was knocking on someone's window which was located on the second or the third floor. Of course, she would scream. He just hoped it was not loud enough to have awoken anyone - specifically the dorm monitors lmao i forgot the word warden.

Phillip rubbed his arms, trying to warm himself a little. It was freezing out there. He wished she would let him in already. He did not want to wait any longer. A smile appeared on his face when she reached for the window handle, but it fell when he realized she did not open it. Damn. "WHAT, rapist? No, of course I'm not love! Promise. Now may I please enter? I'm freezing my arse out here."

Like they'd let rapists just walk around the school, though one could never know who might decide to become one. Love? Was he British? British people did that, right? Emma chewed her bottom lip for a moment then finished the reach and opened the window. Hopefully she could run away fast enough if he tried anything. Violent or otherwise.

She backed away glancing about her room for anything that she could possibly use as a defense against an intruder. One of which she let in with very little forethought, but still technically an intruder. Her eyes landed on a can of heavy duty cleaning supplies the janitor let her have and grabbed it. Surely this would hurt like the dickens if sprayed in someone eyes. The warning on the can made it seem like it was a bad idea anyway.

"Why were you on my window sill?" Emma brandished the can trying to look and sound aggressive but only managed to come across as terrified. Even she could hear the tremor in her voice. It wasn't every day one found a boy knocking at their window in the middle of the night. From the look of him though she didn't expect it was her exact room he was looking for. But then again she could be so very wrong in her judgment.

Sitting on a window sill, in the middle of the night and in the winter weather was definitely not something Phillip Prince had thought of how his night would turn out when his friend gave him a ring. He looked down below and saw the shadows of the football players lingering where his discarded shoes were. As long as they do not decide to look up, the prankster would not be seen. But he was really hoping the girl would open up and let him in already. He did not like to wait, especially in the cold like that.

At last, the window opened. "Oh lord, thank you," he breathed out in relief as he practically drag his body inside the room. He leaned back against the window, shutting it so the cold air stayed out before his body slowly slided down. His head turned up at her question. "Tried to get away from some people," he said, offering smile.

"I-I-I promise I'll explain further when I can. But first, do you think you could just be a doll and lend me your blanket for a bit...please?" His arms were wrapped around himself. His body was shaking even more now. Phillip somehow felt colder. "Oh and d-d-do you have any hot water, love?" he asked sweetly. "I would like to d-di-dip my feet in it." He had taken off his socks and shoes before he crawled up. If he had another option, he would not have done that. But he did not. So now his bare feet felt numb.

a little shocked at his gratitude she smiled weakly but she didn't trust some strange boy showing up like he had. Can held out shakily she tilted her head quizzically at his answer. Why would someone climb the side of a building to get away from people? Or maybe he flew, though she didn't see any obvious signs that he could fly, but at this school who knew. Maybe he fell? Or climbed down instead of up?

As she pondered the various possibilities her hand lowered slowly but it jerked right back up at the sound of his voice. A doll? The request itself seemed simple enough and he didn't look all that terrifying to be truthful. Shivering people didn't tend to look scary unless drooling and snarling. Since he did neither of those things she figured he was safe enough for now. Grabbing a thick floral quilt she tossed it gingerly in his direction not wanting to get too close just yet. 

The second request left her blinking stupidly at him for a moment as she just then noticed his bare feet. "Hot water, um okay." What on earth? Emma stood a second more staring at his feet before going to her closet for the bucket. "I'll be right back?" Confusion and sleep muddled her brain a bit as she shuffled off to fill up the bucket with hot water. Returning shortly after to her room lugging the mostly full bucket silently hoping to find him gone.

Half of Phillip was wondering what in the world could the girl be thinking right that moment. He could imagine that she did not have strangers banging on her window in the middle of the night asking to be let in. It was not an average night for most. Phillip did not ask her about in. Not then at least. He was mostly happy to be inside instead of outside and he hoped she did not report this to the warden. Unless she was the warden. Well was that not just swell for him.

He saw her making a move for the quilt. A smile broke onto his face. When she tossed it, the boy shot a web to it and quickly pulled it towards him. Phillip wrapped it tightly around himself and sighed in relief as he felt a little warmer. "This is nice. Thank you."

As she returned, Phillip Prince was very much not gone. Instead, he had moved to sit on a chair nearby. He grinned seeing her, alone with a bucket and not with a guard or warden. "Do you need any help, love?" It looked heavy. If she agreed, he would simply shoot his web and pull it to him like he had done with the blanket. Hopefully, he would not spill the water while doing so.

The quilt shot across the space between them, but her mind didn't quite register the whole web thing. Just a kid using his power, right? His politeness helped ease her mind even more leaning her ever closer to the idea that he might not be a rapist or an attacker. Just a boy unlucky enough to knock on a girl's window from the looks of things.

Her shoulders strained under the weight of the bucket and sagged even more finding the boy in her chair. The idea of getting someone hadn't even crossed her mind. The last time someone caught a person had snuck into her room things had gone very wrong. So that thought was the last to come to her mind.

"No, I'm fine." Mostly because her hands were stuck to the handle. She shuffled the rest of the way across the room and sat the bucket down slowly. "Did you need anything else? I can make coffee?" Emma knelt by the bucket peeling her hands slowly from the handle trying to hide the fact that they stuck to the metal.

Steam rose from the water feeling rather nice on her face. Glancing up at him she smiled finally as she continued to detach herself from the bucket. She wanted to ask all sorts of questions but she didn't want to overwhelm him. He'd said he'd tell her when he got warm, so she could be patient.

The boy made no moves to get up from his seat. He wondered if that may be the reason as to why she denied his help. To be frank, he did not feel like getting up. Plus, Phillip did intend to help by using his webs to assist her. That was what he told himself to feel slightly better over what he had done - or more specifically, what he had not.

Once she set the bucket down, Phillip eagerly scooted his chair closer and lifted his legs before slowly immersing them into the nice and hot water - not waiting for her to fully detach herself from the bucket. The moment the tip of his toes touched the water, a soft moan escaped his lips. He shut his eyes. "This is good." Oh, it was much better compared to the state he was in not too long ago.

His eyes peeled open and he looked down at her when she spoke. "Thanks, but by any chance could I get a hot chocolate instead, please? And with those marshmallows if you have any that is," he added quickly. He hoped he was not asking for too much.

A while later, Phillip spoke up. "So you're obviously wondering what's going on." He laughed. "I mentioned I was trying to g-g-get away from some people. Well, it was from some guys on the football team. They don't really l-l-like me, more because I'm on the soccer team. Also the f-f-fact that I pulled a prank and-" his words just muffled up and quickly stopped when he realized it. "Okay erm. Why don't you ask the questions and I'll answer them." He smiled.

Emma pulled her head back away from the feet as they entered the water. The moan startled her a bit making her stare up at him with a tinge to her cheeks. "I'm glad it's not too hot." Softly spoken she pretty much said it to herself as she worked her hands free. Thankfully her anxiety wasn't acting up so her sticky strength was basically nill.

Some people might get annoyed at his requests. Might think he's asking quite a lot for the inconvenience he'd caused thus far. But Emma merely smiled sweetly and nodded thankful to get her hands free. "I think I can handle that." She stood quickly using her hand sanitizer pump before skittering off to make the hot chocolate.

Returning with a hot cup from the microwave she was glad she had a packet left after the last snow storm. It even came with a few sad looking marshmallows. Emma nodded to affirm her curiosity as she set the mug on the desk nearby him. Blue eyes going to his her heart twisted a bit at the stutter. She knew how it feel to be unable to get words out when she wanted.

"Why climb a building?" Hand going up she twisted a curl around her fingers moving back to sit on her bed. "I assume you climbed anyway..." She glanced down at his feet in the bucket then back up at him with an answering smile of her own.

Phillip Prince flashed grateful smile towards her, glad that she did not think he was pushing his luck. Or if she did, he was glad she was not voicing it out. He snuggled up underneath the quilt, relishing in the warmth.

His hand slowly reached out for the mug. As soon as his palms wrapped around it, he had like a child like grin on his face. Phillip took a sip of the hot chocolate. Instead of commenting on the drink, he gave her a thumbs up and a delightful nod as he continued sipping it. Ah. Being all warm in there and sipping on some hot coco with marshmallows, it was turning to a good night. Better than crawling into his own room alone and with no help to keep warm.

"I climbed. Yes. Well more like crawling? Like how Sipderman does it," he replied. "I was running away from these f-f-football players and they were smart. There were some standing at the entrance, ready to get me if I came." He chuckled. "So, decided to c-cr-crawl up, harder to catch me, and hoped someone opened up. Which you did, love. Thanks."

He placed the mug down and showed her his palms then. "I have spider like powers. There are these s-s-silk on my palms and soles of my feet which helps me to stick to walls basically. Hence why I could do what I did," he explained. "Unfortunately, it doesn't pen-penetrate most materials. So I had to take my shoes and socks off. That explains why I'm b-b-bare footed. Hah." The stuttering was not because he was incapable to string his words, but instead of the occasional shivering he gets.

For some reason seeing him all snuggly and warm and happy made her immensely happy. She couldn't even remember a time she'd made someone look that content. If she ever had actually. Emma returned the thumbs up and the smile glad that she'd succeeded in helping him in some way. To not screw things up for a change felt really nice.

"Spiderman? Really?" The scenario he described sounded simply awful she twisted the curl around her fingers. She didn't understand why people decided to chose anger and hatred toward other people. Why they had to be so narrow minded or decide they're better so they had to treat others like trash. But then again she didn't know the boy sitting in front of her all that much, and he had mentioned a prank.

As he described his powers she smiled brightly leaning forward almost eagerly. "You stick to walls? Do you stick to other things? You can really crawl using your sticking ability?" She almost reached loud in volume the words streaming out of her looking down at his hands then at the bucket where his feet warmed. The silk thing sounded rather useful, but the sticking to things she was quite familiar with. Someone who could understand her frustrations even a little bit.

Even though she desperately wanted to probe about his powers she figured that'd be pushing it too far. Instead she focused on the football players issue. "So...what kind of prank did you play that made them so mad?" Emma scooted back onto her bed more dropping her gaze.

The boy nodded at her question. "Really," he reaffirmed. Using Spiderman as an example was the easiest way he could get others to understand his ability because it was very similar. Except for some differences like the fact that he had no super strength like Peter.

Her sudden interest in his powers amused Phillip. He had not counted on that kind of response, at least not as eager as she had sounded. But he figured perhaps it was a first for her to have met someone with powers like his, which was cool with him. His spider like power was pretty cool.

"Yeah, I do, love," he replied. "Walls, ceilings, any surface really. Once I'm warmed enough, I can show you if you'd like that." Phillip smiled. "Other things...they stick too. It's troubling at times, but it does not stick like super glue ya know. Plus, I usually wear a pair of thin gloves to help with it a little." He shrugged nonchalantly. "You make the best of it, right?"

A grin slowly spread onto his face when asked about the prank. "We dumped their cooler full of alcohol into the lake - that's where the party was held. Then we sort of vandalized two of their cars by writing 'SOCCER RULEZ' using whipped cream." He made it a point to mention the last part because to him, that was pretty harmless. It could be easily cleaned by spraying water over it. Of course, it was what they had done to their alcohol that probably ticked them off.

"I had been roped into this by a friend who apparently was a little down because he didn't get a stupid party invite." His lips thinned, thinking about how he only knew what they were doing after he had pushed a cooler that was supposedly filled with party snacks into the water. Phillip looked at the girl then to gauge her reaction. What did she think of him now?

Not really knowing all that much about Spiderman other than pictures, and toys she'd seen in the store she made a mental note to look it up. Surely it had something to do with mimicking spider abilities, which sounded way more useful than her ability. Then again, a lot of the abilities at the school sounded more useful than just sticking to things.

Emma felt a bit embarrassed for her enthusiasm but at least he didn't seem insulted by it, or ask her similar questions. Make the best of it he says like it wasn't really no big deal. She wished she could look at it that way, but then again maybe he had better control over his powers.

Smiling in return she pulled her legs up onto the bed to sit cross legged. "You don't have to." The last thing she wanted was for him to have to be a show monkey or something. They got that enough around the place showing each other their powers. Or showing their teachers how much they'd learned about their powers. In her case that being nothing.

As he described the prank of dumping out the alcohol her smile grew as well. Alcohol was evil, she hated alcohol with a passion. Emma giggled at the whipped cream part bringing up a knee to rest her cheek on. She liked listening to other people's stories his sounded especially fun. Such exciting lives people could lead, and she bet they didn't even realize it.

"They shouldn't be drinking at our age, so you did a good thing." Smiling she pulled one of her smaller blankets over to her. "And it's not like it was spray paint." Not that she ever pulled pranks on people but as long as they didn't hurt anybody she didn't see anything wrong with them.

Phillip Prince was definitely the kind who fully embraced his powers. Coming from a family of mutants, he was obviously thrilled to have manifested. He was one who liked to use his power at any given opportunity. It was why he offered to show her his wall crawling skills. Maybe even impress her. She was looking cute just sitting there cross legged on her bed. "Let me know if you change your mind." He winked.

The nineteen year old noticed the smile on her face as she listened to him, which brought a smile out of him too. He chuckled at her age comment. He did not bother to correct her that some of the guys were actually of drinking age and only a few were not. She was right anyways. "Thank you!" he exclaimed. "Honestly, love, whipped cream comes off way easier." Executing the car prank was pretty hilarious. He had a good laugh.

After seeing the girl pull a smaller blanket over herself, Phillip realized she might be cold and he had her quilt. Quickly, Phillip took a bunch of tissues out he found on the table and wiped his feet dry. He stood up to discard the tissues and brought the quilt with him as he walked towards her bed, yet still keeping a safe distance between them so he did not cross over creepy territory.

"Here," he said, extending it to her. "I'm feeling much warmer. Thank you. I hope you're not feeling cold because of me." Phillip laughed softly. After awhile, he spoke again. "So, what other questions do you have for me?"
