”I’m hoooome” Fiona happily shouted as she entered the student lounge, it was a bit late and the only person there was another girl, at first she didn’t pay her too much mind as she headed for her favorite chair, she flopped down on it and then jumped a bit up and down for a moment, before heading over to the pool table, caressing it lovingly.
“Hey!” He flopped down on the couch next to the girl who was already sitting there “I’m Fiona I used to live here and then I lived in Australia and now I live here again, nice to meet you! Who are you? Are you new? I haven't been here in a year, so a lot probably changed huh?” She said excitedly, then taking a breath and smiling happily, she was excited to be back, Australia had been awesome but being back was also awesome, to be fair everything is awesome, everything is cool when you’re part of a team, everything is awesome, when you’re living out a dream... Oh that song was so stuck in her head.
She could be a lot more chill than this, but this was exciting, she was home! This was where she was supposed to be and she already met someone who could be her friend maybe, well she had other friends who were still here, but this one was new and that was awesome too!

"Welcome hoooome!" Friday called with near equal enthusiasm, turning to get a look at the brightly colored girl who bobbed her way into the student lounge. Friday had been watching one of her favorite television programs (Glee, which some people didn't like for reasons that were beyond Friday's understanding [as was her near obsession with the various homosexual relationships and the near tingling feelings that Brittany gave her]). So she didn't really mind a newcomer, especially one so brightly colored who was flopping about.
"Hey!" Friday said. She paused while Fiona unloaded a huge amount of information, her head eventually bobbing along. "Uh, sorta new? I guess for you I'm new, since I haven't been here that long and we just met and all that stuff," Friday doublechecked that Glee was, in fact, paused, noting that it was in the middle of one of Kurt's solos (he was just so cute!). "OH, I'm Friday!" she said, gesturing at herself. "And yes, that's definitely, like, my name and all. My parents are sorta weird."
Friday rolled her eyes, then glanced at the pool table. "Did you, like, wanna play pool or something? I was kinda watching this," she pointed at the Netflix-paused screen, "but I could totally just put it on background and, like, play or something. I promise to be exactly as good as everyone who's used those," she smiled and pointed at the pool cues, knowing that this was one of those times when her power wouldn't suck tremendously.

”Friday?” She paused and then grinned and started singing “It’s Friday, Friday gotta get down on fridayyyy” and then she stopped singing and started giggling “I never knew how dirty that song could sound! But that’s so cool! It’s such a pretty name, your parents must be awesome! My parents are cool too, Fiona isn’t a bad name, you can call me Fifi if you want though!”
She nodded at the idea of playing pool “Sure! I’m really bad at it but it’s fun!” She was bad at it as long she didn’t cheat anyway, she would totally cheat, part of the fun was to see if anyone knew if she was cheating or not. “You watch Glee? It’s so cute! I haven’t really gotten around to watch the whole show yet but I have heard some of the songs and they are so cute and so are the characters and everything! Don’t they have a lot gays and lesbians too? I love gays!” She went on a bit of a rant about the show she didn’t watch, unloading the information she had on it.
She jumped up from the chair and headed over to the pool table, oh all the fun she had on top of this thing in the past... and underneath it. “Just keep it on! I love all kinds of music and glee music is so cute” You’d think she would be more tired or jetlagged after traveling all the way from Australia, but nope, she seemed to be full of energy.

Friday giggled as she heard that song. "I almost forgot about that! But, yeah, I guess it might be a little dirty seeing as I'm, well, a Friday?" Friday still wasn't completely certain what Fiona was referencing there, at least, not immediately. Then her eyes flicked to the screen and she had something of an idea of what Fifi was talking about.
The offer for pool was taken. Friday sprang up from the couch, pausing only for a second to restart the show. It was at one of the semi-dramatic moments that so frequently seemed to follow Kurt around. "Isn't it though?" Friday said, moving around to the table. "I just love some of the music and emotions and-- um, yeah, I guess it's really, ah, inclusive?" Friday shrugged. "It is kinda cool seeing all that. Plus, Brittany and Santana are, like, made for each other."
Friday came along to the pool table, practically bouncing on her feet as she drew nearer. "Okay, so, like, my power is that I kinda pick up the muscle memories of anything I touch and all. So I can totes get us started and all, but it'll be a bit on autopilot?" Friday offered up a bashful smile as she finished. she didn't want to sound like she was bragging or anything...

Fiona giggled “I don’t get the hate that song got! It’s so catchy” She always got so easily addicted to anything fun and catchy “Yeah because like, getting down on Friday, like going down, like you know?” She laughed and wondered if there was any songs out there with her name in it, at least any fun songs, she needed to look that up later.
Her attention went over to Glee, she would have watched it but she just couldn’t sit down and watch some show for too long, she would watch one or two episodes before wanting something new, but she had been on the internet long enough to know what she needed to know “Oh yeah, that show has like people of all races and so many cute gays and lesbians and trans too right? That’s the lesbian cheerleaders right? I think that’s adorable.”
“Oh! So you’re really good at pool just from touching the pool stuff?” She asked “That’s so useful and awesome, I wonder if I can beat you” This sounded like it would be a test of powers, Fiona had no intentions of not cheating, it was fun to be sneaky like that. “Okay, get us started then Miss. Friday, I’m pretty bad at this though” She grinned mischievously, she did not have a poker face at all. She gave the pool table a lovingly pat.

"Well, it's super catchy and all, but it can be kinda annoying? Plus, it looked kinda... weird?" Friday crinkled up her nose. She still had mixed feelings about it herself: the song itself didn't strike her as nearly as bad as everyone made it out to be. On the other hand, she had heard it sung at her almost constantly when it came out, which had definitely gotten a little annoying. Not as much as realizing that a pretty girl with brilliant hair and a brilliant smile was now talking about going down on her. Just when Friday thought she couldn't blush any further, something like this happened to move the goalposts.
Thankfully there was Glee and pool to distract. "Uh, yeah, that's Brittany and Santana. They're not on right now, but I think they've got some screen time this episode. I mostly watch the earlier stuff anyway," Friday shrugged, before reaching to grab the pool cue. She could already feel the memories starting to flood in, moving her body against her will.
"Maybe?" she offered as she started shifting, moving the balls into position and rocking them against the sorter. "I kinda pick up the average of everyone who uses the item and, well," she had started twirling the stick, "this is kinda public," she shrugged, then felt her body shifting. She lifted the rack, bent down, and broke the balls. It was clean: pool balls bouncing against sides and cracking as they ricocheted. Nothing went into any holes, but it was a good first shot; good enough for Friday to bob her head and rock on her heels, at any rate.

”Annoying? No I don’t think so, I thought it was awesome” as long as it was catchy, Fiona was pretty much sold on any song “It’s also so funny when she can’t choose which seat to sit in in the music video, like there’s only one seat not taken, what was she going to do? Sit on her friend?” Fiona was very amused by this song and this video, she could probably discuss it for hours if interest was shown.
“Hashtag Brittana! I ship it” she giggled “Why don’t the cheerleaders here hook up too? Or do they? Are you a cheerleader? I don’t know, I just got here, they really should hook up, I’m going to suggest it to them” She did know that the suggestion would most likely end up being ignored or laughed at, but if she could bring laughter to somebody she would be happy with the outcome either way.
She grabbed a pool cue, smiling as she listened to Friday explain “It’s still pretty useful though! You could become good at things or learn how to do things without practice! I wish I knew how to do that, I’m really bad at many things!” It was true, she wasn’t that good at a lot of things, but she didn’t really care as long as she had fun doing it.
She got ready for her turn, she managed to knock down one ball without cheating, her next shot didn’t go well as nothing went down and she decided not get greedy since she did get one down already.

"you didn't have everyone singing it at you all the time," Friday insisted. "I mean, the song's pretty cool and all, but people can be... mean," she wrinkled up her nose as if being mean was among the most detestable things she'd ever experienced (a statement which wasn't too far off from being the truth, really). The mention of shipping at least relaxed her pretty quickly, and she had to flush at the mention of one of her personal favorite ships.
The flush only continued as she was called a cheerleader, and Friday could feel all the awkward, adorkable parts of her bubbling up and threatening to spill over onto Fi. "I think they do on the show ?But, like, they don't some in real life. Or maybe they do here? I don't really know too many cheerleaders and I'm, like, not. Because I'm way too uncoordinated when I'm not picking up someone else's stuff."
Break, pause. "Well, yeah, I mean, it can be?" Friday crinkled her nose again. 'Like, it's super cool sometimes, like when I'm playing pool like this and all. But sometimes it can be... weird or something. I guess it's that way for a lot of people? I'm just lucky that it sometimes does stuff like..." Friday adjusted, taking aim, and firing off with the stick, hitting not one, not two, but three balls into pockets. "That," she moved and hit another, then got another into a good position but just fell short of the hole.
"I don't think I could do that on my own," she said, not sure whether that was a good thing or a disappointment.

”No, I didn’t... Oh my god, it could be like your theme song! I’ll sing it every time I see you!” She said happily, this sounded like a really nice thing she could do for her new friend “I wish I had a theme song, you bet I’ll find one online later, if I remember to do it anyway. We should all have songs playing whenever we entered new areas so that everyone knew who’s there” She was joking, even Fiona realized that this wouldn’t have been very fun in the long run.
“If you’re not a cheerleader, you don’t know what the cheerleaders do in private” She winked and giggled a bit “Don’t people keep thinking flexible girls are hot? Cheerleaders can be pretty flexible, I wish I was more flexible, maybe I should become a cheerleader” Or maybe not, Fiona couldn’t stick to one thing like that for long, at most she might try keeping up for a couple of weeks before she’d get bored and needed to move on, but maybe trying it out for a couple weeks could be fun.
“Wow” she clapped at the shot that got three balls into pockets, that was impressive, she needed to step it up if she was going to have a shot at beating this girl, she nodded slowly as she watched another go down before it was her turn. “Couldn’t you become really good at something this way though? Like not just powers but also you actually remembering how forever? Or does it go away?” She asked before taking aim and going for it, managing to knock down one ball, the next one she had to give a bit of a mental push for it to go down as it stopped right next to the hole, she managed to get a third down again by giving it a small push, the fourth didn’t go down as she felt it could give the cheating away.
"That's kinda what happened. And it sounds really good until, like, everyone starts using it to taunt and torment you and junk," Friday wrinkled her nose, thoroughly regretting that whole song and the experience and all. She generally preferred to just look on the bright side and all, but, well, there were just some things that even Friday couldn't quite get over. This was very much one of those.
"Theme songs would be super cool. I think I'd rather have, like, 'Happy' or 'Pocketful of Sunshine,' or maybe that one from that LEGO movie and all. I can't remember what it's called," Friday shrugged. She did think it was a pretty awesome song and all, and she thought that maybe awesome might be in the title. Maybe "This is an Awesome Song?"
The thought of flexible cheerleaders drove all thoughts of theme songs out of her head. "Um, I don't know," she said, some of her usual enthusiasm drifting. Friday shrugged again, feeling herself squirm. Her gaze went to the screen, and of course there was Brittany. Dancing.
That did come after the shot, at least, but it meant that Friday missed everything Fiona said. And the shot. And, well, most things but flexible cheerleaders right now.

”Oh, I guess, but why would anyone taunt and torment? That’s no fun” she shrugged, not really understanding the issue, but accepting that Friday had her opinion even if it was wrong, instead of discussing it she’d rather just move on. She had been made fun of before, but it just didn’t get to her, why should she care about somebody else’s wrong opinions? Why did people care so much?
“Oh my god, Friday! Everything is awesome has been stuck in my head all day! We’re like so in sync, it’s crazy” she laughed “I haven’t even seen the LEGO movie, but that song is awesome” that song was something Fiona could really relate to, because it was true, everything is really awesome. “Did you know it’s sung by Tegan and Sara? They are lesbian twins, but probably not with each other, that would be weird” Fiona was impressed with herself and her random internet knowledge.
Lack of reaction didn’t phase Fiona, it just meant the subject at hand probably was getting old and time to move on, she liked to move on and find new things to talk about. She thought for a moment “Oh Fri, it’s your turn” she waved her hand in front of her eyes, she felt like she had lost her for a moment there, she grinned “Are you good at something without using your powers? You seem really cool, I bet you’re really talented in one way or another” she gave her another friendly smile.

"I don't know why anyone would either, but they totally do," Friday offered, shrugging again. That was, of course, before the whole zoning out not really paying attention to anything bit. No, that went most of the way through the bits about the LEGO movie and who sang the song and everything that sort of circled around that general idea. It probably was for the best: one more mention of someone being lesbian and Friday may very well pop a casket.
A wave caused Friday to flail. Her arms sort of windmilled in front of her, and she dropped the cue onto the table. Naturally she went to try and dive for it, which resulted in her head meeting said table and recoiling back. She pressed a hand to it, wincing and looking to Fiona.
"Right, my turn, I totally---what?" she was starting to flush now. "I, um, well, most of my stuff is kinda---I mean, my powers are kinda... usually..." she was waving her hands and trying to bend down to pick up the cue and mostly flailing around and patting the floor a lot (which was probably not good as it meant she'd be picking up floor memories pretty soon and who knew what those would be like). She just knew she had a pretty cool girl with really awesome hair saying she was cool and it was turning her less into bubbly Friday with spastic tendency and more into dorky, awkward Friday with bizarre tics. also she couldn't pick up a pool cue, so she had that going for her.

Fiona was starting to try thinking of when the last time somebody tried to be mean to her was, probably some people at the airport who were staring, she knew it was supposedly rude to stare, but well why be so colorful and loud if you didn’t want to be seen right? Oh also somebody from airport security calling her a cartoon character, was that rude? It might have been meant rudely, but Fiona just laughed, so it wasn’t that bad.
Friday’s flailing, dropping the cue and then hitting her head made Fiona flinch, she had been caught off guard, before she started laughing at how comedic it had looked “Oh my gosh, are you okay!?” She walked over to her, still laughing and gave her a hug “That must have hurt, wow, you might get a bump there!” That had been hilarious, but probably painful so she tried being nice about it “Just be glad it doesn’t work like in cartoons where they immediately grow big bumps, that would be funny looking but not very comfortable.”
Fiona bent over and picked up the cue for her, giving it to her “There you go, did you hit your head hard? Do you need to sit down, get some ice or go to a doctor?” She asked, she was concerned, but it probably didn’t show since she was pretty giggly, she couldn’t help it but people getting hurt was funny as long as it wasn’t that serious.

"I'm fine! It's fine!" Friday insisted, waving her hands a little, flushing. "This sort of thing happens a lot. I mean, it's, well, I kinda, the power makes me a bit more of a goof and I've always been a bit of a goof to start, so I'm kinda sorta used to hitting my head and other parts on stuff," Friday shrugged, then went back to work trying to find the cue and all.
It was then that she noticed that Fiona had picked it up at some point, probably while Friday had ranted. she smiled and reached for it, missing at first but managing to get it soon enough. The memories were popping back in, and Friday had to fight the urge to start attempting to strike then and there. Instead she rose up, feeling the urge to start leaning on the cue, which she thought a relatively safe idea, given everything.
"It's fine, really," she insisted, waving off Fiona's concern and all. "Like, we should just get back to the game and stuff." she looked at the screen ,letting out a slight squeal. "Oh, it's one of my favorites!" Friday pointed, not quite realizing that "one of her favorites" happened to be one of the Brittany x Santana love songs...
Post by Fiona Reinhart on Dec 13, 2016 15:17:25 GMT
”Okay, if you’re sure, haha” Fiona was still giggly “Don’t worry about being goofy, I’m goofy all the time and it’s just fun, just don’t hit your head too much!” She smiled at her and decided to prove her goofiness by randomly attempting a pirouette, which ended in her stumbling a bit at the end from losing her balance, but she ended up not falling “Ta da!”
“Alright, show me what you got Friday” She said trying to encourage her, she got the sense she was a little lacking in confidence, so she wanted to give her some! Awkwardness was so cute, but awkward people could need some encouragement sometimes. She turned her attention to Glee as Friday’s favorites appeared on the screen “Aw they are so beautiful together, I love the voices and the music” she smiled and decided to try and focus on watching for a moment “Wonder if I’d look cute in a cheerleader’s outfit, I need to try that” she said mostly to herself.
While Friday wasn’t watching, she started slowly pushing the balls she needed to get down closer to the holes so it would be easier when it was her turn, she tried to be all sneaky about it but she couldn’t help giggling a bit at her own mischievous behavior.
