Veronica was never very good at standing her ground when it came to facing the problems life tended to throw her way. She was generally more or less a coward who chose to run or hide her head in the sand and hope whatever ailed her simply went away or fixed itself on its own. Suffice to say her methods were rarely met with any sort of success. It couldn't quite be said that she was changing this by her sudden, unexpected move to Montana where her sisters lived, but it was (she hoped) a step in the right direction.
She'd met up with Fern and Teagan with varying degrees of awkwardness but little was said about her baby sister's condition or mental state. To the untrained eye Fern seemed like she was doing okay but Veronica knew a thing or two about keeping up appearances for the sake of hiding real feelings.
Carefully she knocked on the door to the counselor's office and pushed it open when prompted. Dark eyes swept over the office before settling upon the psychiatrist himself. "Uh, hi, Doctor Fitzpatrick?" She asked in spite of the nameplate that was mounted on the outside of the door telling her exactly who it was. "I'm Veronica Abbot." Slowly she stepped inside. "I called earlier about with you about my sister Fern?"
