Katrina huffed as she walked towards the cabin, most people had already wandered off to get started on activities, or were still in bed. The frost and morning mist clung to the ground like a thin layer of film over the world and the grass crunched under her boots as she approached. She'd already asked around a bit to find her sister, and been told that she was still at her cabin. After a night of tossing and turning, she decided it was probably a good idea to talk to her sibling about what was troubling her.
She tentatively knocked on her sister's cabin door, tapping her hand against her leg. Of course, it was absolutely freezing out so her fingers were numb as they drummed against her thigh.

Erika had looked forward to the camping trip for a long time. In fact, she enjoyed it every year. She was somewhat bummed this years' trip took place during the winter, but she was certain she would be able to make the most of it regardless.
A knock on the door brought the brunette's head up from her notebook. Brows furrowing, she checked her phone for the time. Ellen wouldn't have been settled yet, so it couldn't be her and she didn't think Michael would knock. Rising to her feet, Erika walked to the door and opened it.
Immediately, a smile formed on her lips. "Kat," she greeted.

Katrina very nearly turned around and walked off before the door opened, in fact she'd come quite close to it. Why was she so nervous about talking to her sister? She couldn't even place why. Unlike other siblings she'd spent most of her teenage years getting into one kind of trouble or other. She just wanted to be seen. Even if she didn't have a power... It didn't feel fun to be the invisible one.
Luckily, most of her siblings didn't give her that vibe. And she liked Erika, a lot. Looked up to even.
Then the door swung open, and the hesitation froze her feet on the spot. "Um, Erika. Hi" She stammered a little. "Are you busy? I mean, it's fine if you are, I can come back another time or something. It's no big dea-" She shifted on her feet a little bit, not quite sure why she was feeling like this.

The smile quickly turned into a frown as Erika studied her sister' demeanor. Something was off - something Erika couldn't quite put her finger on. She was tempted to let her power slide across her sister's body as a way to show her sister comfort, though decided against it and instead, Erika stepped aside.
"Come in," she said, an easy going smile replacing the earlier frown. "I'm never too busy for you." Especially not when her sister looked as if she was about to jump off of a cliff.
"We have the cabin to ourselves too, so you're in luck," Erika winked, as if attempting to ease her sister's mind.

Katrina smiled weakly as Erika invited her in and attempted to thank her, it came out more as a guttural noise and a nod. She walked inside her big sister's cabin. She turned and closed her eyes for a breath, reopening them and addressing her sister fully and properly. "Thank you, Erika." She replied sincerely.
She offered her sister another smile and let out a slightly shaky breath. "Thank you." She waited a few moments before replying, leaning gently against the edge of the sofa in the main room. "I'm going crazy." She murmured simply. Everything was just so much for her right now, she felt stupid for being upset over something as simple as having trouble adjusting to new friends. There were people all over the world in way worse situations than she was in. Hell, there were people in worse situations at Bellefonte.
And this while thought process was feeding into itself, just making everything worse and more stressful than it had been in the first place. She bit her lower lip and tried to think of a way to word it to her sister. Instead she stepped forwards and hugged her tightly.

Erika studied her sister's face for a moment. For some reason, Katrina looked... Fidgety? Nervous? Neither of which felt warranted. A small sensation of worry started to grow inside the telekinetic's chest, but she didn't let it show. Instead, she offered her sister another easy smile.
There was no point in putting any pressure on the youngest member of the Bellefonte clan.
"Going crazy?" she finally replied, head tilting. Erika looked around for a moment, brows furrowing. She briefly wondered if there was more to it, or simply her sister not particularly enjoying spending a week in the middle of a forest. Her thoughts were, however, interrupted by a sudden embrace.
"Hey," she cooed, gently, one hand coming up to stroke Katrina's head. "What's going on?"
