She had only just started preparing the art studio for her event. Students were encouraged to do their own events this winter, and she had only put her poster up a week ago, and seems people had already taken an interest in her event. Her event was a gold coin donation charity event to raise as much money as she could to help out the soup kitchens that open up on Christmas this season. But she had still a long way to go. Piper was helping Poppy set up. While the two had only a few current acquaintances, Poppy thought this was a good way to not only fund raise for the season but also put herself out there and make new friends. Though, depending on how many people turned up, she and Piper would have to be careful about contact, but Poppy wasn't worried.
Poppy set up several tables, some with chairs, others with stools. She had personally cleaned and ironed some table clothes that had paint splatter designs all over them and in a corner she had set up a Christmas tree to hang all the made decorations on, and she even had little wrapped gifts if anyone showed up. On the tables were an array of art materials, from plain foam Christmas baubles to colored Popsicle sticks and every type of paint and colored pens and pencils under the sun. Some of which she had to seek permission from school staff to use their art supplies. Poppy got permission (along with permission for her event) as long as she understood that she was the one responsible of running the event, and setting up and packing down and that if anything went wrong, Poppy would be held responsible. With Poppy's assurance, they allowed her to go through with the event.
"Phew! Finally done!" Poppy sat in one of the chairs. "Now we wait. I hope people come... I don't want this effort to go to waste... oh Piper... what if no one comes? What if my poster wasn't good enough?" Poppy started having those second-guessing 'what if' thoughts. Piper just smiled.
"I-It'll be okay Poppy." She whispered in response trying to reassure her sister that everything would be fine.
"You're right! I just gotta be my usual self! But what if-"
"Poppy! Calm down." Piper glared slightly. Poppy laughed.
"Alright, alright! I'm confident this will go well." Poppy beamed. Poppy grabbed a red bucket and placed it by the door for anyone who entered.
