"Welp," she muttered to herself as she took a look around her room, holding a lit cigarette in her hands as if she weren't a sixteen year old pastel pink haired girl. "This is unfortunate."
It was true. Half empty cigarette boxes on the ground, clothes strewn across the room, and small, tacky merchandise cluttering the only wardrobe she actually had made up the bulk of the mess in her room. Of course, there were many other things that she could consider a mess, but for the most part, within the hour that she had moved in, this place already looked like it had seen a nuclear warhead crash down on it.
Immediately, she went to open the window, ventilating the room, all while letting the ashes fall on some hapless passerby. Hopefully, the young girl who ended up being a target for Violet didn't mind too much that her pretty hair was tarnished, now. Or, at least, until she took a shower.
Her little fun time was shut down, though, as the sunglasses wearing girl realized that she wasn't the only one in the room. Well, fuck. "If you want to keep your pretty face, I'd recommend you leave now, and hold whatever judgments you have to yourself," she muttered, refusing to turn around to see who it was. Probably some other girl who lived here. She could really care less.
It was funny, people referred to Ellen at something of an ice queen and a few other not particularly nice words, her reputation followed her wherever she may have roamed, like a bad smell, people looked at her like she was a hound dog ready to lash out at people and sink her teeth into them
But really? With the calibre of people that she seemed to surround herself with, it was a wonder she turned out as charming and endlessly hospitable towards others.
So, when Ellen heard that she had yet another person sharing her living quarters with and customary dictates that she gauge who exactly this person was that she was due to share a bizzare amount of time with. She usually perfered to meet these people face to face and see if she would be forced to tray and lay down the law in that regard. That was often the case when it came to room mates. As with anything else, Ellen’s conditions for a simple life were relatively simple.
You keep out of her way and not annoy her, you’ll get on with her thick as thieves
You get in her way…..Not so much….
So you can imagine the look of mild disgust on the heiress to the Banks family fortune her nose wrinkling as it did, the prim and proper duchess of the school, looking at the ruins of the room before her eyes flickered toward the woman with horrible pink hair that screamed “GIVE ME ATTENTION”
Oh, joy….
Ellen couldn’t help but to smirk bitterly at the girl’s comment. Normally this would annoy her, she never did enjoy someone thinking they had the right to talk to her like that, but considering that the girl clearly didn’t know who she was speaking too she was willing to show a rare bit of leniency towards her….instead she just shooker her head and made a clearing throat sound hoping to get her attention before drawing out her words “I’d advice against that...I’d much prefer a hello….and also a clean room but evidently that’s too much to ask
She would hope the sound of her voice would be enough to rouse her interest.

Violet let a smirk come across her face, as she looked out the window to the girl who was now raising a middle finger at her, before realizing that she had nowhere to actually get rid of the cigarette, and she was definitely not throwing it into the trash bin. That was a sure fire way to set the place ablaze, although... That would be pretty funny.
However, no. She would not be setting the place on fire today, instead choosing to turn around to meet the girl who had so rudely barged into her room, and then decided to badmouth her. Tall, definitely older than her, blonde, pretty... Nope. None of those thoughts. This bitch needed to be taught a lesson.
Slowly, Violet cracked her fingers, rolling her neck as she looked the girl over, and snickered before realizing. Oh. Oh shit. This was...
"Ellen Banks?"
Fuck, oh fuck, if this was Ellen Banks, she had just made a bad move! Ellen was the most feared girl at school, and she wanted in. "Sorry about the mess," she said, apologizing for the first time since... When? Eighth grade? "I'm still getting moved in. I'm Violet, your room mate," she continued, a small grin on her face. If she could get on Ellen's good side, then she could make this school her bitch! The thought almost made her laugh with glee, before she held out a hand to shake the other's, fully intending to show her dominance.
Ellen truly never did understand the people she lived with at times, she truly didn’t. Why would one openly try and destroy their own room? Most of the student body seemed to have a thing about displaying their rebellious nature whenever possible (As if the pink hair wasn’t a strong enough indication of that already) but if you had to destroy someone’s property. Why not someone else’s (Not Ellen’s though. Touch Ellen’s room at your own peril) Anyone that felt like they needed to take out their own aggression out, really needed to try and at least do it, in a way that it doesn’t make YOU suffer….
Rarely did people put as much thought into their actions as much as Ellen seemed to
Despite this Ellen couldn’t help but smile thinly once the girl figured out who she was speaking to. Good. That was good.that her reputation preceded her and Ellen were quite vulnerable to flattery, so she found herself enjoying the woman more and more…
“Charmed” she muttered looking around at the mess twisting her eyes over the scene with a vague amount of disapproval before she registered the hand before her, she looked down at it, and back up to the girl with a blank expression painted on her face “Take your glasses off when you address me….It’s rude not to...

Violet couldn't help the frown that came across her face as the other talked down to her. Just because she wasn't the oldest didn't mean that she wasn't strong or smart! She was plenty strong, and plenty smart! She narrowed her eyes behind her glasses, but kept a polite smile on her face, unwilling quite yet to call Ellen a lost cause.
'Remember Violet,' her conscious told her. 'Just get on her good side, and you've got a free ride.'
The glasses comment made her grin turn to a straight lipped face, unknowing of what to call it. How was she supposed to explain that she couldn't take off her glasses? 'Oh, taking off my glasses will cause me so much pain I might just kill myself'?
Yeah, preferably not. She wanted to seem cool to the other girl. If she could just do that, then she would be good to go. "I can't," she said, looking away from the girl with the cigarette dangling from her lips. "Might melt my mind." She smirked at the comment. "More accurately, my eyeballs. Would that I could, though."
