Kentaro found the club pretty crowded tonight. It took him quite some time to find a spot at the bar. He didn't go straight for the bar when he entered but the need of a drink had grown urgent after dancing for a while. Even there, there wasn’t that much space. It was as though all of Kalispell decided to have a night out at the same time, probably to compensate for all the parties they had to go to with people they might not have wished to meet but had to because they were family. Or maybe there was some event that Kentaro totally skipped. It wouldn’t be the first time. At least the music was good and the people were great. If only they could let him get to the bar faster.
As soon as he got a spot, he meant to stay there for a while, not wanting anyone to steal it from him. He only made sure anyone who came here to order had more than enough space to do so. Anyway, he was not right next to the barman, so he was fine and didn’t risk being constantly pushed by people wanting to order something. There he could savor his drink in peace before he’d head back for more dancing. Or maybe just head back. That would depend on his mood. Since it would happen only in several minutes, he didn't see a point in thinking about it now.
As he ordered another, he felt a body pressing against his back. Turning, he saw a woman whom he could only describe as passably intoxicated. She apologized as he helped her stand still. Was she drunk or did she simply trip? She wanted him to believe the latter no doubt as she flashed him a smile and resumed her dancing and inviting him to come with her. At least he assumed that was what she wanted as she was waving towards her while still looking at him. He chuckled at that, vaguely tempted by the offer. He grabbed his glass to empty it first... and nearly choked. This was not what he ordered. He quick look at the bar counter showed him he picked his neighbour’s drink. Part of him thought about simply tossing his glass closer to them and ignore the little mistake, but that would imply he had not been caught in the act. “Great drink,” he said, placing it back, sounding as nonchalant as he possibly could. Who left their drink unattended like that? Besides him, of course. “Want another?”
