While there was something undeniably nice about Spring, the temperature finally warmed up and the sun was shining bright, there was one thing Tallulah didn’t like: the mud. Whether it was because the snow melting or the rain pouring down, it made the ground awfully slippery. She already didn't like it with crutches and didn’t want to get her shoes covered in mud now that she was free from those.
She thought the parking lot would be a safe place to direct her steps while travelling from the bus stop to the school. The whole area was covered in asphalt, she didn't risk falling over because of the uneven ground. She smiled as she saw the amount of bicycles neatly placed in their designated area. She wondered if she could do some. Probably, if she fixed her foot beforehand.
Lost in her thoughts, Tal walked close to the bikes. She never would have thought her coat would get caught in one’s chain but it did and Tallulah didn’t find out until she felt resistance and nearly fell to the ground thanks to it. She tried to pull her coat out of it, careful not to tear it in the process. It was stuck pretty badly. “Unbelievable,” she muttered to herself. It truly was. She didn't even think she had passed close enough to have that happen but her situation was very real. Crouching, she pulled with more strength. She managed to get her coat out alright, and even fell her butt on the ground thanks to it. Sadly, it also sent the bike against the other one next to it and soon a domino effect followed. She sighed heavily at the sight of her little accident. “Damn.” She couldn’t just leave it like that and pretend it was not her fault. She had to do something about it. But that would be such a hassle!
