MISC: Viona has a belly button piercing that she thinks is pretty cool, but she tends to hide it because she's self conscious about her appearance. Surprising.
PERSONALITY: Viona doesn't like people. That's not to say she's completely friendless, it's just to say that she doesn't have many friends. She finds them mostly air-headed, although if you can get through her tough exterior, you may find a very intelligent friend, who doesn’t take any sort of bullshit. She’s not afraid to make herself vocal, but she’s also not afraid to put someone down if she doesn’t agree with them.
She hates ignorance, whether willful or not, and despises it when people refuse to learn from their mistakes, or just copy others to fit in. She’d rather be her own, unique individual who just so happens to be a misanthropic cynic.
The only thing that she actually likes is photography, which she enjoys more than the average person, probably due to her “autism”. She doesn’t believe she has it, but the doctors say otherwise, so whatever. She stopped caring a long while back.
SECRET(S): Viona prefers to keep her diagnosis of PDD-NOS to herself, not wanting anyone to take false pity on her or treat her as a dumbed down version of herself. She also usually hides her belly piercing to herself, since she kinda just forgets that it’s there.♦ THE HISTORY ♦
Viona had always been a bit of a loner, if she were being honest with herself. She didn’t like people, didn’t have any friends, never went to family reunions or birthday parties… She just didn’t like other kids, usually taking the time to play with puzzles, or read to herself. She was exceptionally intelligent, but nothing worthy of any merit. She just didn’t fit in with other toddlers and kids her age. So what?
Well, apparently, that wasn’t a normal thing for kids. Kids were ‘supposed’ to like games, getting dirty, rough housing, makeup, jewelry, and playing dress up, which Viona, decidedly, did not. That was why she ended up visiting many pediatricians who, at age nine or so, eventually diagnosed her with PDD-NOS, or Pervasive Developmental Disorder, not otherwise specified. Basically, it meant “We don’t know what’s wrong with you, and honestly, we’re tired of trying.” Of course, she didn’t care much for the diagnosis, but hey. What are you going to do?
She had some friends, but most of them just drifted in and out of her life with little care for who she truly was, and who she truly was was revealed in high school to be…
A cynical, antisocial bookworm who had little time to care for anyone but herself.
However, there was one thing that kept her going through middle and high school, and that was photography. She loved taking pictures, and eventually that was what she decided to do with her life. She had little care to actually do anything else, and wanted to make statements about life in general with the art of photography, and so she applied to community college, not really wanting to waste her money on an actual college, and now attends Flathead Valley Community College, in Kalispell, Montana.♦ THE PLAYER ♦
