Teagan Andromeda Abbot
FACE CLAIM: Margot Robbie.
♦ THE BASICS ♦
AGE:Twenty-four
GENDER: Female
ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
POSITION: Teacher - Counselor (recently graduated)♦ THE ABILITY ♦
POWER: Power Reflection/Shield
The ability to reflect abilities back on their users. The shield is more of an extension of her hand when she reaches out. It reacts instinctually rather than manually, so the control comes in waves.
LIMITATIONS:
-The reflection only works on direct abilities, it can't work on abilities that can affect groups of people at a time.
-In the case of mental abilities, the shield can't reflect them back on their users, but it does void out the ability. It isn't like someone can read their own mind.
-This ability only works on mutant abilities, it has no effect against physical attacks from anyone.
-While it works instinctually, it only works when she is conscious and at full awareness.
-She can't project her power on anyone, it only works for her.
-The reflection works against willpower of the user, but dependent on the strength of the user her shield can falter and drop.
-The will power of the user has little affect on the strength of her shield, but the amount of force behind the ability can weaken her.
SIDE-EFFECTS:
-Headaches and migraines from the reverberation that comes from the shield
-General weakness against physical attacks because of the force she holds against powered attacks
-Infertility because her hormones are constantly at an imbalance from the same reverb that causes headaches
-The ability affects her personality as a result of the shield, it tends to make her guarded
-When someone with a stronger ability that has full control over it weakens the shield or causes it to slip, Teagan blacks out and could be out as long as a week in order for her body to recover depending on the amount of force that hits her.♦ THE CHARACTER ♦
HEIGHT: 5'6"
HAIR COLOR: Blonde
EYE COLOR: An ocean-y blue
MISC: Teagan has a few tattoos that are silly, and reckless from her teenage years, both easily covered. One is on her ankle of a bird and the other is on her opposite big toe of a smiley face. She calls it her Toemoji.
PERSONALITY: Teagan is a mother hen, while she likes to have fun and go out, she's always that mom friend that looks out for everyone with her. Got too drunk? Teagan was there to hold your hair. Got dumped? Teagan was the shoulder to cry on and had a box of tissues and chocolate in her purse. Anything that was needed, Teagan had and was willing to share.
Fern was probably where this all stemmed from because she immediately took to her baby sister when she was born. Always willing to babysit and play dress-up as well as do the dirty work. Teagan is grade A mom material. She loves to love and cares about anyone who will let her and even those who won't. Much like a mother, sometimes her love is forced upon people that are irritated with her or just want to be left alone. She just genuinely cares for everyone, even those who maybe aren't quite that nice.
Teagan doesn't get angry ever. She can be pushed and pushed by words, actions or anything and she will approach the situation calmly and collected because fire doesn't fight fire in her eyes. It only makes the fire bigger. This leads to people taking advantage of her kindness often.
She's also a massive goofball. She doesn't let other people pass judgment and have it affect her because she's comfortable with herself enough to know that their reasons for making comments come from some problem within themselves. People who lash out at others are really the ones who need the most help. She likes to joke around and make weird faces just to get a laugh. It helps when she's handling the younger mutants that have manifested.
SECRET(S): Teagan cannot reproduce, but nobody knows except for her. She tends to stray away from relationships because she doesn't want to get into a committed one and have to break the news that she won't be able to have a child.♦ THE HISTORY ♦
Being brought up in a fairly decent household in England, Teagan's childhood remained simple and uncomplicated. She had a good relationship with both of her parents as well as her older and younger sisters and never quite understood middle child syndrome that everyone often mentioned to her. While her older sister seemed a bit more reluctant around her, she'd taken quite fondly to her baby sister and dove head first into the caretaker of the family.
She babysat often when she needed to, and when she was old enough. She was always willing to dress her sister up and get her ready for bed, for school for any other activity she had that day. Teagan just kept generally busy with her sister. It wasn't until she manifested her ability at fourteen that she had to learn to be away from the family and it worried her so much that she made herself sick to her stomach with the anxiety of it all. What would they do without her? Of course their parents were more than capable of taking care of their daughters, but Teagan was young and believed wholeheartedly that she was an important factor in the fluidity of how their family worked.
Her manifestation hadn't been very traumatic, nor eventful. She'd been out with her mother running errands and while they were out she felt a small vibration that hadn't necessarily touched her, but more like surrounded her. It was brief and subtle, but several days later there was a pair of people at her home telling her she was going to St. Bethany's.
The academy that she'd been recruited to was nice enough, but it reminded her of some prestigious boarding school filled with stuck up people that didn't care about anyone besides themselves. Teagan couldn't say she fit in very well, but she made it work. The friends that she'd come across, she cared for and took under her wing. She managed to find the best in the situation, especially after her younger sister manifested.
With Fern being ill often, Teagan was there to make sure she was being watched over. She knew it was hard for her sister, but she also knew that someone needed to be there and if it was going to be anyone, it was going to be her. Her schooling didn't suffer from the constant attention she put on her sister, she put as much focus on school as she could in her free time while she wasn't allowed to be with Fern and it led her to her career path.
She began studying psychology and focused on a career in counseling mutants who had just manifested and helping them adjust. When Fern was transferred to Bellefonte, Teagan stayed behind to get her degree before moving to the United States and interviewing for a position as a counselor at the school so she could remain close by if Fern needed her.♦ THE PLAYER ♦
