"Yeah," she replied in agreement. "Besides, despite the lack of originality, it makes it more personal." She wondered for a moment, before nodding to herself. "You know?"
Luxanna almost dropped the phone in her lap at the question. It wasn't that it made her embarrassed, it simply caught the young brunette off guard. Chewing on the inside of her lips, she thought it over before she replied as honestly as she could. "No," she said, sheepishly. "I haven't, really."
She wasn't sure why she'd never thought about it. Maybe it was her lack of romantic experience or maybe the thought simply hadn't ever crossed her mind.
"I know." Cole replied assuredly, leaving little to no space between the thoughts. It was nice to be on the same page as someone about anything these days, so he'd take what he could get.
Even if it was silence from the other end of the line, followed in its own time by what could only be described as a really awkward response. Yet somehow, that feeling seemed... Fitting.
The more he thought, the more Cole considered that that was a strange question. At least, other people were likely to see it as such. All he did was exhale, humour threatening the lining of his voice as he finally continued; "Alright, what's a name you like the sound of, then." He tried, but then he hummed into the phone immediately, "No, pick the first girl's name that pops into your head. Don't think about it, just say it."
Asking her to pick something, the thing that popped into her mind first caused Luxanna's brain to malfunction. If only for a second or two. "Now you just made it harder!" she said, almost accusingly, though huffed. "Ali- no, Gw- no, no, no Quinn," she finally settled upon with a grin that reached from one ear to the other.
Sitting down and making herself comfortable on her bed, Luxanna rolled over onto her back. "You know, I wanted to apologize for springing the kittens on you like that, but I kind of get the feeling it's not all that bad," she said, hesitantly.
Chuckling to himself, Cole mused over the beginnings of several names before he got a complete one from her. "Nice. Though we shouldn't count out Aligwinn as an option too." He offered thoughtlessly, because his attention was struck by the apology thrown his way, like it was really necessary. Clearly, she thought it was.
"What you gotta understand is that if I didn't wanna do it, I woulda said no. Hell, I wouldn't've offered in the first place, y'know?" He explained to her, shrugging his shoulders like she could see it. Or rather, like the nonchalant concept could be indicated through his tone in tune with his movements, "I wouldn't bother apologising for stuff you don't have to apologise for. If I'd'a said no and you stalked me home and dropped 'em on me doorstep, well, that's a different thing entirely. But I'd mostly guess you just wanted to know where I lived if you'da gone that far."
Grinning, Luxanna snorted. "Harr, harr." She actually appreciated the joke more than she was willing to let on. It was nice, talking to someone who didn't treat her like a piece of glass that could break just about anytime. Naturally, he didn't know her well enough to treat her like anything, really, but it was appreciated nonetheless.
Smiling despite herself, Luxanna pursed her lips. Once he had finished, she offered a chuckle. "Well, a thank you is still in order. And well, I still do apologize. So there." He might have been capable of telling people no, but Luxanna still felt the right thing to do was apologizing. He could accept it or no, but at least it was out there.
Notions of thanks had never been something Cole could actively take on. It made him feel internally awkward, ill deserving and so he laughed it off lightly. That wasn't the point of his direction, anyway, so he attempted to play it off.
"Not saying I'd say no the company either." Cole continued on, shrugging his shoulders like she could actually see it. Maybe she'd be able to hear the shift in his voice all the same; "You rescued 'em first, you're always welcome to come say hey."

Brows arched in surprise and for a moment, the brunette found herself at a loss of words. She was caught in the middle of wanting to refuse, thinking he only offered to be nice and once again thanking him for the offer. Instead, she bit her bottom lip and tried keeping her voice both normal and steady.
"Really?" She bit down on the next few words that threatened to thrash through her lips. "That would... That would be really cool," she added instead, feeling her heart rate pick up.
