The walls of Charlie's room was covered in posters of his interests such as Guns N Roses, Motely Crue, Billy Talent, City in Colour, Chainsmokers, the Beatles, pictures of half named models, and so on. The closet was open enough to see the clothes he piled inside of it in an attempt to make the place look tidy enough for company. Weights, small enough to fit in his room, were at the foot of his bed... hardly touched since Charlie had discovered the gym. Books relating to music, foreign studies, and dance were stacked nicely on his desk that had loose leaf everywhere. The pages had scribbled notes from class, doodles, and music lyrics.
Charlie was sitting crosslegged on his bed, the body of his red electric guitar sat comfortably in between them while his fingers pressed down on the frets near the base of the neck. He never strummed; he just let the dull hammerons play their muted notes. His amp was in the corner of his bedroom, and he could pull it out and plug it in if he wanted... but he had invited Kam over and was therefore preoccupied with talking.
Charlie removed his grey toque long enough to brush his bangs away from his face before placing it back on his head "Okay, how do you feel about Skrillex? Are they overrated or what? I'd much rather listen to old school Daft Punk. Especially their Homework album."

While Kamillia appreciated Charlie’s decorations of the different bands he liked, especially since they weren’t pop singers the red head liked her room design better. Mostly because she had posters of her interested, which consisted mostly of video games such as minecraft, dragon age, mass effect, left for dead, all the tale tell games, and a lot more, as for music she had a few Krewella posters up, Skrillix, Black veil Brides, Metallica, and a few others but those were the main ones. Kamillia did have to admit her room was cleaner than his, granted she had two ferrets living with her and if she left stuff out and about they would steal it and hide it.
Kamillia was sprawled out on the bed in front of Charlie, laying on her stomach while she doodled in a notebook she had brought over. It was just something for her hands to do while they talked. The red head had brought over her acoustic guitar but that was on the floor near a far wall so no one would step on it. Charlie had invited her over just to hang out and talk, over the months they had taken turns to invite each other to hang out in their room, and sometimes they would hang out elsewhere be it somewhere else on campus or in town. Charlie had quickly become one of Kamillia close friend if not the closest friend she had. They had bonded pretty well because of their shared interest in music.
“I love Skrillex, they’re the ones that actually got me into EDM, and making my own sets. I love any type of song I can dance to really. Except the damn pop songs, while there are some great pop songs most of them are overrated… So If you want to talk overrated we should talk pop. Daft punk is also pretty great, and so is Krewella, they each have their different styles, and there’s a reason to like each one. But, I don’t think Skrillex is overrated.”

"I ain't even surprised. It seems like either Skrillex or Deadmau5 pops all the future EDM fanatics' cherries." Charlie laughed at himself, sliding his hand up and down the neck of the guitar, listening to the slides with mild amusement. "And what's so bad about pop? You can't tell me you don't love some T-Swift."
He suddenly jumped up on the bed, forcing Kam to bounce with the shift of weight. Hopefully her doodle wasn't ruined in the commotion. Charlie played the basic chords that could be heard in practically all of Taylor Swift's hits. Charlie gave Kam a wicked look before singing, "~So it's gonna be forever or it's gonna go down in flames! You can tell me when it's over if the high was worth the pain!~"
Charlie stopped just as suddenly as he began, watching for Kam's reaction with a shady look of entertainment on his face. He loved poking fun and fooling around. Especially when it came to music. Kam was, more or less, picky with her music. He respected that, but still landed a few shots every once and a while in response.
"Well, besides that moment... I can't remember what any of those artists sound like. Krewella? I know it but can't recall the sound. I know you probably have shown me a thousand times, but I don't have a good memory with that sorta stuff.
Eh, anyway, did you hear Metallica's new album? It's so good!"
“God, Deadmau5 is a fucking asshole. I hate him…” More because he brought a lot of hate toward one of her favorite EDM bands Krewella, and all around the guy seems generally like a asshole. Kamillia could not support anyone she did not like as a person, she did not care how great their music was. “You’re going to give Skrillex shit because they are overrated, yet Taylor Swift gets your love?” She smirked at the boy, Taylor Swift was just as overrated, maybe even more overrated than Skrillex.
Kamillia’s doodle was so ruined after that jump. She let out a long almost painful sigh when the other boy started singing one of Taylor’s song. “Well, not all pop artists are bad; I actually quite like fifth harmony.” She stood up to be eye level with Charlie, “And if you ever tell anyone that you are dead to me.” She was half joking, and half serious. “But I think Taylor has let fame get to her head. I lost a little respect from her when she said that she believed people should have pay to listen to music.”
The main reason she was picky with her music was because she was picky with the people she wanted to support, she wasn’t going to put a song on repeat on youtube of an artist she didn’t respect. To her there wasn’t enough time in the world to support people you didn’t like. She felt the same way to movies and tv shows. But she could handle his jokes, he hadn’t said anything that was disrespectful to her, and that’s what mattered the most.
“Well… My favorite band you can’t remember the sound of. What type of best friend are you?” she have a small chuckle, and smiled at Charlie, she was joking about it. She didn’t expect anyone to like the same music she did. She got her phone and went on youtube to look up a Krewella song so Charlie could hear it once more. “No I haven’t, they have way too many albums for me to keep up with. Maybe I will give it a listen to later.” Once she had found the song ‘Team’ By Krewella she smiled at Charlie, “Hey this is a Krewella song. It’s my favorite.” And with that she had played it for him. After a few seconds Kamillia started to sing along with the song.

Charlie laughed and flicked his hand at Kam. "I can't deny it. I think fame highlights artist's douche-baggery, but they can get away with it. Because fame is basically a 'get out of jail free card', if you know what I'm saying. And hell yeah I'm gonna sing T Swift, I'm the king of- what's the word- hypocrisy!"
He matched Kamilla's joking glare as she threatened him. That doofy smirk was still on his face, showing he hardly took anything seriously. "Yeah, yeah, I would never want to hurt your ego, Kammy-bear" Feeling satisfied with his response, he let himself fall back on he bed, scooting up so he could lean against the headboard. As Kamilla played her song, recognition crossed Charlie's face "Oh yeah, never mind. I totally remember this."
As the song played on, he began to tap his fingers to the beat, watching Kam as she sang. He suddenly felt very relaxed and comfortable, enjoying the company and bonding time over music. He was going to have to be a better friend, however. And with that thought, he resolved to do some homework on all the bands (at least those that he could remember) that Kam liked. He wanted to at least be able to know what the heck his friend was talking about when she brought up this EDM band and that one. Kam gave Charlie the benefit by always listening to music he recommended, and even remembered when he brought it up their following hangout.
"You know, man, you're so lucky the type of music you like is in. Like, you can go to a club or a rave and they play this stuff."
