After a long night out, not doing anything worthy of mentioning, but rather just taking pictures, James was dead beat. He was running on no sleep, had gone to all of his classes while somehow managing not to fall asleep in any of them, though he'd come close in his Humanities course. The droning of monotonous tones relaying boring subject matter would put him to sleep on a good day, and it usually did. However, he could hear voices in his head telling him that he needed to pass his classes if he intended to graduate. Most of them were the voices of his hallucinations, but one was the voice of a young nag who happened to be one of the very few friends he'd made in his time at the school.
Without a knock, James opened the door to Lux's room, not bothering to care if she was even in it. He dropped his bag on the floor and face planted into her bed, his whole body sprawled out, feet dangling off the bed. He was quite a bit taller than Lux, so he hardly fit onto her mattress, but he hadn't ever cared. It was familiar, something that he often lacked with most people.
James relaxed into the blankets. The number one place he found himself when insomnia struck him was Lux's room, it had been that way for years. Of course when she was busy, or didn't want to put up with him or if he just wasn't up for her worrying expressions, he had his own room. The feeling was off in his own space though, too small, crowded with all of the things that showed up that only he saw. When he heard a noise coming from the same room he was in, he grumbled, knowing that it was probably just his mind messing with him.
