They’d talked about this a while ago, but for some reason Tami took her sweet time actually getting a real request in to train under a certain Turkish trainer. Every time she’d thought about getting it done, something else had popped up. At last, she finally put her request in and was getting a real session, unlike their spontaneous lesson in the cafeteria.
Although, as Tami walked into the training room she’d been told to go to, the redhead didn’t know what to expect. Maybe they wouldn’t even use this very room after all. With Asli, who knew? Tami certainly didn’t know the other woman well enough to make any assumptions. Up until this point she only had one very interesting interaction to go off of. So, really, Tami was going into this completely blind but open to the possibilities it present. her interest in abilities, her own included, still stood as strongly as it had back then.
Ultimately she had a feeling this was going to be pretty fun one way or another.
“I’ve no idea how I could’ve put this off for so long.” Tami admitted once she was in the right room and spotted the Turkish trainer within. “After last time, I was very much interested in seeing what else you could teach me. I suppose things simply got in the way.” That was the best explanation Tami could really offer. Time had simply gotten away from her. Still, she smiled warmly and politely at the woman. “Hello Asli. Or is that not proper at the moment, considering the circumstances?"
Dealing with powers like this were often difficult. Emotional powers needed a target, a living, breathing, often thinking target. sometimes they took student or staff volunteers, as those were often the best. Asli could vividly recall her own training, where local "volunteers" were often used as her puppets, or sometimes lower students or the like. Something told her that wouldn't quite work out for Bellefonte.
So they had rabbits instead.
Apparently the school had a handful on hand at all times. Rabbits, mice, various experimental vermin, they were all present for just this sort of activity. The students needed something to practice on, and this was deemed close, acceptable, and inherently expendable. Again, Asli couldn't help but feel that you could make almost the same arguments about several of the locals, but that was neither here nor there.
"Trainer Tilki is generally preferred, yes," Asli said, nodding slightly and not looking at Tami just yet. "A greeting is perfectly acceptable, and given our meeting, it's quite alright for you to express some informality," now the trainer looked to Tami, studying her. "Were you using your power from our last meeting? Or have you been... celibate," the wording made Asli's face harden a little, though the slight difference between "hard" and "blank" would be a little difficult to deduce without some experience or careful observation.
Admittedly the moment Tami spotted the rabbits, her attention drifted from Asli to the furry little things. Despite currently owning one as a pet (or at least as close to owning one as you could possibly get), she couldn't help but fawn over them each time she saw one. This time was no different, and she practically cooed with pleasure once she spotted the little creatures.
That didn't mean she ignored Asli entirely though. She flashed Asli- or Trainer Tilki, as it was at the moment- a smile and nodded her head. "Trainer Tilki it shall be. At least for these moments, I should suspect." Shrugging, Tami turned her attention from the adorable balls of fluff (hard as that was) to fully give Asli her attention.
Which was a good thing since she caught the way Asli's face hardened upon the word "celibate." Already the word seemed a little odd and almost laughable in this context, but the way Aslo said it pulled Tami's ever active curiosity out of the woodworks. She tilted her head to the side a little. Like always a smile was on Tami's face, but now it grew slightly. With lightly curled edges. "My power isn't one that ever fully turns off." She responded with a hint of cheek. "But I have intentionally used it a number of times since the cafeteria incident and when we met last, yes. Practice makes perfect after all, and the opportunity for my ability to do some good frequently crops up."
