Kai Baxter Fifteen - Physiological sensing - High school student
Kai has been in the foster care system almost their entire life and has become quite jaded as a result. They tend to be very blunt, so come across as unfriendly. They hate lies and can hold a grudge like no other. Although they typically don't resort to violence, they have their own flavor of revenge. Anyone they think deserves it will fall victim to Kai's sense of justice. They operate by their own moral compass, setting the laws, condemning the guilty and exacting revenge as they see fit.
That being said, they are a good friend to those that they become close with. You can be absolutely sure that they won’t break a promise. They worry about the happiness of people they care about and try to do things they think their friends will appreciate.

Yay! So first off, welcome to the board. Second off, I am infatuated with Kai and I want to thread with them!
These are my babs here, but I think the most likely characters to interact with Kai are Arcadio and Devinder.
Arcadio is the Spanish teacher, so if Kai is interested in learning a language, he's there. He's also really good with little kids and young people, he feels really protective over them. He tries to be a father figure to anyone who needs it.
Devinder is the foreign studies teacher, so there's another potential class for Kai, but Devinder is also non-binary, even though he is male presenting. That could be some common ground for them. I know when I was a fresh lil baby gay, having older mentors meant a lot to me.
Lastly is Axel, but I don't know how likely it is they'd meet. He's never on campus and usually hangs out in bars and such.
Both of those sound great! How about starting with Devinder? Kai's never met another person that identified as nonbinary (except on the internet). It would definitely mean a lot to them to get to know him.

Hello Grace, I'm Bobby.I've got a few characters that might interest you.
First, Michael. I think he'd be torn between finding Kai cute and not understanding that whole desire to be neither male nor female. I don't think he'd get it and it will certainly upset him not to know for sure whether they have male or female parts. So he'll probably try to find that out. Sp, yeah, he'd be one of those who don't understand and judge and his personality is likely to rub Kai off a lot. Or they can clear that matter real fast and somewhat get along. But he'll probably always have a problem seeing them as... well, as them.
Tallulah might also not completely understand this but she will prove to be a lot more respectful and consider this is Kai's decision. Tal is not super friendly and sociable but she never turns people down so this could work.
Finally, there's Kentaro. He's more recruiter than trainer but he could try to work with Kai. The fact they don't want to be referred to as she wouldn't be a problem with him at all. His personality might not go all too well with them, he's the kind to force people to keep working even when they're half-dead by giving them a bright smile and not letting them go until it's done. But, should you want, he could be one of the people training Kai. He's not the best listener however, so he wouldn't be a great confident, but he could motivate.
Michael - Kai would be okay answering questions as long as he isn't rude or mean. They might get a little snarky, but that's always fun.
Tallulah - I also think they could get along. They have some similar personality traits. And although they're different for very different reasons, Kai would sympathize with getting picked on or treated differently. As long as they can get past each other's exterior walls XD
Kentaro - Kai wouldn't mind getting pushed in training, but they would definitely talk back and get sassy. Kai isn't great at opening up anyway, so they would actually appreciate Kentaro not trying to force his way into a mentor role.
