Tamara Saiyara Morrison
FACE CLAIM: Alexandra Shipp
♦ THE BASICS ♦
AGE: 18
GENDER: Female
ORIENTATION: Unknown
POSITION: Bellefonte Student♦ THE ABILITY ♦
POWER: Super Intelligence
Tamara has intelligence that is significantly above standard genius level intellect; possessing exceptional intellectual ability, creativity, and originality. As a result she has higher mental faculties such as a more powerful memory, better calculation skills, greater reasoning skills, and superior learning capacity.
LIMITATIONS:
1) Her genius intellect can't acquire knowledge out of thin air; Tamara has to learn everything she knows before hand. Just because she can easily soak up and retain information doesn't mean she can absorb it passively. Harder subjects require more extensive research and study on her part.
2) There are some topics that she simply can't comprehend; Tamara isn't about to unlock the secret of life itself, how to become immortal, or solve unsolvable math equations on a whim here.
3) Just because she knows something, doesn't mean she can necessarily do something; Tamara is restricted to whatever materials or tools she has readily available. While she might be able to learn, with extensive research, how to build a plane that doesn't mean she can whip one up using the kitchen appliances. She can be very limited by technology, even with how creative she might get.
SIDE-EFFECTS:
1) Even if her heightened intellect may not be the cause, it certainly doesn't help; Tamara is a bonafide sociopath. People rarely appear as "people" to her, even if they would rank as her "friends." They're barely more than toys or moving objects to her half the time. She barely feels any shame for her actions even if she pretends to express it, and doesn't care for other peoples' emotions. She can be a very deceiving actress, but those with any sort of emotional detection will be able to tell something's off.
2) Learning is still learning; there's only so much new information Tamara can take before she burns out for the day. She might last longer than normal teenage students when it comes to studying without any breaks, but it comes to a point where she'll just be reading the same page over and over while comprehending nothing new.
3) Her memory is stellar, but it's not perfect; Tamara can forget things she's learned if the information is not used and rehearsed in her mind. Something she learned ten years ago but never used probably won't surface in her current memory.
4) Headaches are a thing; Tamara experiences them frequently. Either it's after a long session of studying or when she's tinkering for hours with something she's put together. She can also actually get a headache if someone acts so stupid and doesn't listen to logic despite her best efforts, that her brain eventually fries.♦ THE CHARACTER ♦
HEIGHT: 5'7"
HAIR COLOR: Black
EYE COLOR: Brown
MISC: Tamara's fashion shifts as easily as the wind. One day she might wear an outfit that might seem boyish, and the next day she'll be rocking a dress with heels. Hair flat or curled, there's no easy way to predict what she might don at the beginning of the day. The only constant for her is that she always has earrings in.
PERSONALITY: Tamara is a sociopath. A definitely sadistic, somewhat narcissistic sociopath that rarely falls to the common issues a normal sociopath might have. She almost always learns from her mistakes and experiences, be those good or bad. Tamara can also come off as a very convincing actress who can seem genuinely concerned and emotionally invested in another person. Although there can be some chinks in these acts as she often does something with little or no regard to how it would affect someone else. She also happens to be a bit of a liar, but a clever one. It's hard to tell at times when she's speaking the truth or lying through her teeth. Sometimes she mixes the two to make it even more convincing and harder to discern. Above all though she loves toying with people simply for her own entertainment. Whatever the consequences may be for the individuals involved, she frankly doesn't give much of a damn. Remorse is a feeling she barely has any experience with, no matter what action she may take. The worst part of all is that she's aware of what she is and how she feels, but feels no need to change anything. Why would she if she doesn't care in the first place?
There are, however, the rare few that can actually reach a point that they matter for her. In a complete flip of personas, these few individuals are met with a very flat faced, almost unresponsive Tamara. Instead of the boisterous front others are met with, she can mistakenly come off as disinterested or annoyed. In reality it's because she doesn't really know what to do with the fact that this certain person actually means something to her. She can respond with smiles and frowns, but they're more muted than the ones she willingly displays for others. This usually means they're really, truly genuine though. Even if she doesn't know how to particularly react, she gets very protective of these individuals and distantly close and affectionate towards them. It takes a lot, even for these few, to really pick her brain for its inner musing.
SECRET(S):
1) Any true friends of Tamara are usually kept a well guarded secret; while they might cause more slips in her typical facade, she'll usually treat them like she would anyone else. The real difference is when they're alone. Currently the only one in this group is her sister.
2) Even if it's irrational; Tamara is terrified of clowns. Never bring any near her, because her instinctive reaction towards them is often violent.
3) No one knows her true history except for the ones who recruited her. The story she usually gives is a mingle of lies and truths.♦ THE HISTORY ♦
"If I were you I'd take precaution
Before I start to meet a fly girl, you know?"
The past? Why ask about the past? Why should the past matter any more than the present? My past doesn't matter at all. There was nothing interesting to it- no substance to it that was out of the norm. I had a family, doesn't everyone?
Mine wasn't the wealthiest, yeah, but that didn't affect us terribly. I only had two other siblings after all, and both my parents were working steady jobs. We didn't always get to see them as much, true, but that only meant we got to bond as siblings even more. My brother was always the feisty one. Sometimes he got in a little more trouble than he should have, I'll say that much as least, but he always made up for it after. The teachers loved him, you see. He was a great students; only problem was he had way too much energy. He managed to make a lot of good friends though. Some of them he's even managed to keep over the years. I try to stay in touch with him, but he's busy with his own job now.
My sister was sweet. She was a busybody too. Back then she was probably smarter than me. Not sure how that would hold up now. She learned to take over a lot of the household tasks when mom and dad weren't able to make it home until late. Sometimes it was like having two moms, which honestly wasn't that bad. Since our house was pretty small we had to share a room. It was always organized, unlike some other parts of the house. My sister hated making messes, and she probably passed that on to me from living together for so long.
'Cause in some portions
You'll think she's the best thing in the world"
Manifestations are weird. With all this "enhanced intelligence" I have, that's really the only way I can describe it accurately. Weird. Also unexpected. Weirdly unexpected manifestations.
I manifested when I was... What, fifteen? I think that's it. It didn't really come with a bang or some tremendous epiphany for me. Luckily it made history a little easier to learn for me, but otherwise I didn't notice anything different. Things got easier; that's about it. Supposedly this was some big thing though since something like two weeks later the recruiters for the school showed up.
I had super intelligence, imagine that. Here I thought I was just a little smarter than average.
My family agreed with that. Under no circumstances did they want me to leave the house. It was stranger danger to an extreme degree, and just plain strange period. I have to give those recruiters credit because they really tried their best to reason with my family at first. They even demonstrated one of their powers. Unfortunately though that had the opposite effect since my family was pretty convinced I was about to be abducted by aliens or something. Ridiculous, I know, but I was the baby.
Eventually they had to resort to other means of getting me out of there. My family's still a little sour about that, but I was getting a better education for free. That and we really didn't have much of a choice, so they had to find some way to deal with it.
She's so fly, she'll drive you right out of your mind
And steal your heart when you're blind"
Now? Of course now we talk about the now. It's more important, obviously.
Even if coming here was a little rocky, I've definitely adapted. It feels good to be among other people who share this kind of "specialty" with me. I've got a nice amount of friends, and some enemies- though that's usual for anyone. I've been pushed here unlike anything I've ever gotten before at my old schools. It's so much fun because I never knew what my full potential was before this. Now I realize it can quite literally be endless. That's exciting, right? I've got the whole world before me, waiting to see what happens. Others might balk at that, but honestly I'm ready to go out there and make a mark somehow. Maybe do it for the family and make a little fame for the Morrison name, right?
Beware she's schemin', she'll make you think you're dreamin'
