Dominic Rowe
FACE CLAIM: Sean O’Donnell
笙ヲ THE BASICS 笙ヲ
AGE: 16
GENDER: Male
ORIENTATION: Homosexual
POSITION: Student笙ヲ THE ABILITY 笙ヲ
POWER: Phasing.
Dominic has the ability to phase through any object, there is nothing he can’t get through. He can technically do this for as long as he wants to, all he needs to do is stay concentrated and be able to hold his breath. Non-solid things like gas, liquid, fire etc. Can also be phased through, since it’s less solid it takes less effort and concentration to do so. He can also phase objects that is touching his skin,so for example his clothes would phase with him.
LIMITATIONS:
The main limitation to his power is breathing, his whole body becomes phased which means new oxygen can’t enter his lungs in this state. It also takes a lot of concentration and focus for him to phase, it can leave him mentally exhausted if he uses his powers for too long, as his powers are quite new to him, it’s pretty difficult to keep it up for more than a couple minutes at most. With training and breathing exercises he could be able to keep it up for longer and possibly learn to hold his breath for longer. He can’t unphase while inside a solid object as he would either get stuck or get hurt, he isn’t sure about what would happen and he’s not willing to find out.
SIDE-EFFECTS:
While his powers doesn’t take too much effort, sometimes it can be hard to not accidentally phase in emotional situations, getting upset could mean accidentally falling through the floor. He can unphase while in liquid or gas, but this would cause this to enter his body where there previously was oxygen, so if he chose to unphase under water, he would basically fill his lungs with water, unphasing in the rain would be uncomfortable and probably cause him to cough, depending on how much it’s raining.笙ヲ THE CHARACTER 笙ヲ
HEIGHT: 5’8”
HAIR COLOR: Dark brown
EYE COLOR: Blue

PERSONALITY: To people who doesn’t know him, Dominic can come across as a bit cold or maybe just shy. He’s talkative and friendly around people he knows and feel comfortable with, but it usually takes a bit of time and effort for him to feel completely comfortable with people.
He can be a very stubborn person at times, he hates admitting it if he’s wrong and if he wants something he will do anything to get it, he is very determined to achieve his goals and he is a sore loser if he doesn’t get what he wants. If anything is uncomfortable, he prefers to just avoid it and ignore it, push it aside for later and not deal with it.
Dominic is not very confrontational, but at the same time, if he feels offended he won’t hide it and if he has to fight, he is not afraid to do so, but he would rather not if it can be avoided.
He cares a a lot about his image and how people see him, he wants to look good and he wants people to like him. He doesn’t really like to open up about his life and his background, his past is private and in his mind, it doesn’t fit with the person he wants to be or who he wants to be seen as.
Well hidden behind a facade is a warm and caring person who has slightly awkward and dorky side to him, but it takes a special person for him to open up enough to see all sides of him.
SECRET(S): Dominic being gay is a secret, he never felt like it was something he could talk about due to the attitude of his foster family.
The fact that he lived with a foster family and the reasons why he lived there are secrets and sore spots for him.笙ヲ THE HISTORY 笙ヲ
Dominic was born in San Diego, California. His mother was barely 18 and alone in the world, she wasn’t close to her own family who lived across the country and she didn’t know who Dominic’s father was. She tried her best to provide for her child, but without a job and living on a friend’s couch, life wasn’t easy.
The first years of Dominic’s life was filled with uncertanty, his mom would get into relationships, which sometimes lead to them moving in with the guy, but these relationships rarely lasted very long and they never lived in one place for more than a couple months at a time.
While he loved his mom, the two of them weren’t happy, life was tough and his mother was struggling with a lot of problems. When Dominic started going to school, he was very shy at first, but he made friends which lead to him getting into playing soccer, this was something he quickly became pretty good at and in a way it was an escape from the hard times in life.
When he was ten years old, something he would never forget happened. His mother had managed to get an old rusty car, which they at the time had to live in. She drove them to the police station, they both left the car, before she started crying and gave him a long hug, he was confused and didn’t understand what was going on until she had gotten back into the car and drove off without him.
The moment she drove away, leaving him behind was a moment he would never forget. A police officer found him crying outside of the station and the next weeks and months became a blur of strangers who would temporarily take care of him.
The next few years was spent in four different foster homes, he never felt at home in any of them, he wanted back to his mom, at least in the beginning. The older he got, the more he grew to resent his mother for abandoning him like she did, he could guess and try to figure out why she did it, but he didn’t know and none of his guesses was good enough for him to excuse her.
He was sixteen when his powers manifested, his newest foster home was the worst one so far and he had just been yelled at for spending too much time outside playing soccer. He knew these people cared, but he didn’t feel like they tried to understand him or where he was coming from. He slammed the door shut and in anger punched the wall, except his arm went through the wall, which caused him to jump back in shock, stumbling backwards and falling, not only did he fall but he fell through the floor, landing in the basement.
Nobody had seen him, nobody knew what had happened, he was lucky he didn’t get hurt more, he was left with an ugly bruise and that was all. The next week he was more quiet than usual and was struggling with what had happened, did he just imagine it? No, he was sure it was real. He then got the news that he was once again moving to a new home, at this point he didn’t care, what difference did it make?
What shocked him was when he met up with the people who were picking him up to move to his new home, they weren’t like the people he had dealt with in the past. They explained everything, explained that he was a mutant, that they were mutants and that he would be going to a school for people like him, it was a lot to take in and he felt uneasy, this was insane, it couldn’t possibly be real.
Once he finally got to the school, he felt incredibly uncomfortable, but at the same time he felt a little optimistic, this was an opportunity for him to get a new start in life, this was a school where he could actually make a future for himself and where he could be exactly who he wanted to be. Could this finally be a place to call home?笙ヲ THE PLAYER 笙ヲ
