Blame it on the boys

There was a friendly basketball game in play at the gym. One opposing two teams that could only be called the shirts and the no-shirts. And, believe it or not, but there were other people here, some actually watching it. Most didn't however. They were busy reading, studying, chilling in a corner with music on. Some even believed it was as good a place as any other to play chess! But someone also watched it and if someone decided to watch them, they’d notice two of them, at the very top of the bleachers. To anyone, they’d look invested in the game since there gaze didn’t go away from it. They even seemed to be talking. It could only be about it. That was what they looked like doing. And then there was what they were actually talking about...

“... And that’s why I’ll need a new fake ID. Drunk or not, what was that idiot thinking to toss it in the toilet? And it had to be the one with vomit in there.” Michael sighed, not really waiting on a reply from Georgia River on his answer to her ‘how was your night after we parted ways?’ Going out had been fun, getting another guy to pay him drinks too, but it ended up on a sour note for him. He even ended up going back to his dorm earlier than he meant to thanks to that, and on a bad mood. And that totally wasted the whole point of going out with a fake ID. Oh well. At least they knew who to get to for another one.

“Hope you had more chance with your idiot. Not the first one, the cute puppy you danced with after. And- damn why did he have to be in the shirt team? A body like that shouldn’t wear clothes. I’d go down on him, too bad he’s batting for the wrong team.” Yes, he did bother to look at the game. At least one player, that is. What else was there to do during a game, really? There was nothing interesting in watch these guys fight for a stupid ball and try to show off because they can throw it at a larger distance than anyone else. He shook his head at that. Another tragedy in this world. “What was I saying? Oh yeah, puppy face. So?”

Georgia snorted, at least glad that Mike had waited until after her head had defogged for their debriefing session. She was already smirking just at the memory of last night, though she'd been about as successful as Mike. "You shoulda dunked his head in after it; that's what I woulda done." More than "would have," there were a few girls and even some guys who had likely experienced Georgia River (drunk or "sober") shoving their heads into toilets.

Georgia let her eyes wander the basketball game, vaguely understanding what was going on. She'd had enough guys (and some girls) talk sports at her that she had picked up bits and pieces; essentially enough to first get their attention and then annoy the crap out of them, which was pretty much all Georgia wanted from anyone who showed that much interest in sports and the like.

"Think I've had that one," Georgia said, looking to the shirt team. "You're not missing much." She held her hand up, fingers stretched only so far, smirking. "And I pretty well struck out last night," she stretched, "dumped most of the boozy feeling onto a guy after he got all butt-touchy without permission. Speaking of butt touchy," she gestured toward the game with her foot, "tell me this isn't one of the gayest things you've ever seen. Seriously: let's get shorts, take off our shirts, and run after balls? Gay. So gay."

Life was sometimes so cruel. All Michael had wanted was a bit of fun to forget that Thanksgiving was coming shortly and he really didn’t want to head home to celebrate. He got a guy that promised a good time, or offered such promise at the very least, but because no good time happened, ended up throwing his ID in the toilet. Maybe he should look on the bright side and claim it was not the whole wallet or his phone that he threw in there, but that ID had been purchased and quality doesn’t come cheap. “Even drunk, he was still a good five inches taller than me and I won’t even mention his size,” he pointed out. Georgia clearly had the drive if not the strength to do something like that. Michael feared getting splashed by the vomit too much to attempt it. “I did push him but I doubt he still feels anything from it.” He shrugged. Sometimes, not being very strong sucked.

Michael was no better in sport than Georgia and certainly replied to anyone trying to educate him on it in the same manner. He’d never understand how people could like to sweat so much while chasing after a stupid ball to achieve nothing. He could understand even less those who betted all their money on those games. Georgia knew what really interested him in that game being played in front of him. “Really? Such a shame,” he let out. Why must they always be so disappointing?

He laughed at her comment, but worked on correcting it. “If it really was that gay, they’d wear tighter shorts.” Seriously, what was it with sports guys and those loose sweatpants? It was so ugly. Totally unflattering. He watched the game a bit and more particularly that disappointing player. Now that he proved not to live up to the expectations, he turned his attention back to his friend. “Too bad for you. Had I known, I wouldn’t have ditched you. But you managed to get back to school in one piece. Sort of.”

"All about leverage," Georgia said knowingly, grinning. She was fairly tall for a girl, and more than a little wiry (mostly thanks to dancing), but it was more about catching people by surprise. Having an ability like hers certainly helped in circumstances like this one. Shame that Mike's only had the whole benefit thing going for it.

Also shame about the guy, Georgia supposed. She shrugged, not really seeing a reason to get too worked up about it right now. "Most guys live to disappoint," she said. Whether or not Mike got included in that spread was mostly up to interpretation, which is generally how Georgia preferred to leave it. Plus, she was far more focused on determining the sexuality of sports.

"I've heard somewhere that all this fighting and stuff is just guys' way of working out their gay feelings toward each other," Georgia said. "Given some of the jocks I've banged, I'd believe it." She added a shrug. "And no worries. I just passed it along to someone else and went on my merry way," Georgia watched as the team kept making baskets. "You suppose they're actually that good or they're just a buncha mutants with the right power set? I know that one's got, like, accuracy," she grinned, remembering how she'd found that out. "Rough to play beer bong with, I'll tell you."

Michael let out a little groan to acknowledge he understood her. Leverage. Not the type he normally used, the physical type. It was too bad he had not been injured, he would have enjoyed to pass it on the guy. Maybe he had some of that illness in him. Michael couldn’t always control when he healed someone and it always had its toll on him, even if it could take a while to show. But that would have been too much. Michael was actually terrified of that part of his power and preferred not to think about it.

“True,” he agreed with her. Michael clearly didn't count himself as ‘most of the guys’. He was an exception to this rule. Past lovers may think differently, but he never promised them to be a faithful, cheesy little boyfriend, holding hands and dreaming of houses and dogs and babies. If that was their thing, it was their problem. Life was too short and they were at the best moment of it, he would not waste it by building a nest. “But that’s why I don’t bother past what I want from them.” He knew it was hypocritical. He wanted to get all lovey-dovey too, but he had a particular way of showing it and not everyone was up for that. Not to add that he didn’t want to reveal this part of himself to Georgia. She was his friend but he knew better than to show too many weaknesses.

“Where’d you heard that, in some crackhead’s blog?” he let out. He did not deny it, mind you. He didn’t even say that to insult her. She should know it. “Given who I’ve banged too, I’d say it’s reasonable,” he even added after her. “Unlike you however, I don’t think they’d like me giving away names. Jocks are so scared to admit they once found out that ‘a mouth’s a mouth’.” He shrugged at this. That at least gave him the opportunity to get a guy he found really hot so he wouldn’t complain, even if the other one preferred to claim being straight. Bi was probably more accurate but who was he to judge? “How about the girls? ‘Cause those hockey chicks are bulkier than me...” Yet, somehow, that sounded more insulting to say it about women. Damn feminists.

He frowned a moment at her question about the game and leaned forward to look at the players. “I know that blonde one’s a telekinetic or something like that, so I guess it’s not all of them,” he said, a bit hesitant. He didn’t care about other people’s powers enough to know each and every one of them. Hell, even if he most know their face, he doubted he could even name half of them! He gave her a mischievous grin as he straightened up. “Unless you mean to lose.”

Georgia snorted again. "Do crackheads even write that shit? Better question," she held up a hand, "what makes you think I'd read that shit?" Georgia couldn't say if she'd ever actually read a blog. Maybe something involving gossip once or twice? In general, if it was longer than a text, than chances were good that Georgia wouldn't read it.

"People need to get over that shit," said the bisexual to her gay friend. "Plus, aren't, like, more mutants gay than straight or something? Gotta be a freakin' buffet of choices,' she leaned forward and snorted. "And if you think I'm clam diving in the field hockey team, you have not been paying attention." Georgia eyed the boys a little longer. There were some girls who played some sports that were pretty cute, and yeah, sometimes tomboys could be fun (they tended to be about as aggressive as Georgia in the sack).

Telekinesis? "See, that's why we can't have nice things," Georgia said. There was something in there about losing, but she was already getting a plan. "Wanna see how good they are at focusing?" with that, Georgia leaned forward. "Hey! Hey you! Yeah, you with the cute ass!" Georgia bobbed her brows. "You know you wanna get that smacked! Give momma a nice shake!"

Two legitimate questions here. “I don’t know, maybe you should ask Ed, he’s the expert.” Michael had no issue getting a fake ID, he didn’t care about getting drunk or sleeping around but he never touched to drugs. He drew the line there. His parents were disappointed enough in him as it was without having to get an intervention from their part because they wanted to throw him in rehab. At the same time, maybe that would be the last drop that would get them to give up on him. But, no matter how much he may say he wanted that, he really did not. “Hey, I’m not even sure you understand half the things you do so how am I supposed to know?” he answered to her second question.

Michael did believe for about half a second that he was in no position to talk about the closet. Had his little brother not rat out on him, he likely still be in it. Or at least wouldn’t have smashed the doors the way he did as he arrived here. He snorted at this. “Don’t say it too loud or else they’ll try to find a relation between eh two and the LGBT and the mutant haters will gang up on us.” Not that Michael cared a whole lot. Unless he was directly threatened, as in someone standing right there while he lied defenceless, he didn’t care about whatever danger people could warn him about.

A smirk played on his lips. “My mother would love me doing that. Have I told you their latest idea? They think if I find a manly enough girl, then maybe I could be normal again.” He had a bitter laugh. Normal. Like he ever was! The way they thought actually hurt him and Michael had his way to deal with that kind of pain. “Have half a mind to get myself a hermaphrodite and let them guess which part I enjoy the most.” He managed not to sigh. No need to get all moody over this.

“I don’t know, I kind of appreciate giving my hangover to someone else,” he let out. A perk no doubt Georgia could appreciate as well. Then Georgia started to mess with the game in the most amusing of way, having Michael laugh as one guy actually ran into another who had stopped to watch her. “You should give that to the cheerleaders, that could be their new pep talk. People take them all for sluts already anyway.”

Georgia kind of ignored a fair amount of what Michael said. Nothing against Michael: Georgia kind of ignored at least half of what most people said around her, so long as it didn't involve her. That being said, even she had to snort at the idea of Micheal getting hooked up with a manly girl. "I'll let you know if I find one," she drawled. They did get those from time to time, usually of the sort of weightlifting, bulky as hell sort. "And I'm pretty sure we've got some herms running around too."

There had to be one or two mutant powers revolving around that. Georgia vaguely recalled that or people who switched genders or something. She thought she might have slept with one at one point? It didn't really bother her; had been kind of fun. Had to find the fun in mutations where you could.

Like sharing/giving up hangovers. That Georgia had already managed, and she had to smirk. Hangovers were one of those things where when you got rid of the symptoms, the disease wasn't quite so dangerous. the smirk just added to her cheer too. "Hey, don't put it past me,' she said, smirking. "Not like I'm not BFFs with, like, the head cheerleader. Yeah!" This last was said to the players as Georgia leaned forward again. "Handle them balls!" She then stuck a hand into her mouth, blowing out a whistle loud enough to get several glares, including one from an older guy who was probably a coach. Georgia wiggled a few fingers, grinning wider than ever.

In a way, Michael was glad Georgia didn’t listen. He knew she was not that kind of friend, neither was he really, but it was a good thing here, as she would likely have noticed how down he sounded otherwise. And since she was about as tactful as he was, probably even less and proud of it, her words would likely have just downed him more. He needed to get himself some teddy bear friend he could snuggle when moments like this one happened. Or just get himself a guy. A guy could do the trick too. “Please, do not,” he simply asked of her as she suggested telling him about bulky women or hermaphrodites. He shuddered at this. “Still too much stuff I don’t want to see.”

Seriously, what was wrong with his parents? At least he didn’t have to deal with them here. The school only had to say they were open and tolerant that Michael chose to be the stereotype that he was now. The fashionable, bitchy gay friend. No one could pull this one better than him either. If only he could have a power befitting his personality, that would have been awesome. But he ended up with something like healing. Had it not make him so sick, he would have charged people to heal them, see what kind of profit he could make out of it. But the price really wasn’t worth the pain. Only good side, he could give away his injuries and ailments. Man, had he been glad to see hangover was amongst them!

Michael chuckled. He knew the head cheerleader. No one claiming to be amongst the popular kids couldn’t know about her. Claiming to be BFF with her however... Michael certainly couldn’t call himself that. “Okay, all of them but her. She’s more of a cockblocker anyway.” She sure needed to a good personality check and a few visits to a shrink. But then, who didn’t around here? “They’re supposed to be gay, remember? They aren’t used to balls that big,” Michael let out after her comment. He enjoyed how she made a fool of herself and both angered and humiliated the players at the same time. He enjoyed it very much. He wasn’t even worried about that other guy glaring at them as he went along with her whistling. Should he try to get to them, since they were at the top of the bleachers, they could get away pretty easily while he tried to climb his way to them. And if he decided they deserved some punishment, well he’d still have to catch them first. Anyway, could they really be punished when all they did was to cheer on the guys? “Hey, that’s sexual harassment right there,” Michael exclaimed, pointing at two of the players who were pretty close to each other. “You agree with me? They should leave that to the locker room. We already know what the loser team will have to do to the winning one.”

Georgia had to snort. "Calling Ell a cockblock is an insult to cockblocks,' she pointed out. Though if she were being truthful, Georgia would have to admit that Ell very rarely got in her way when it came to having sex. Mostly because just mentioning it was often enough to send her friend scurrying. Not that Georgia was thinking about it when they were still busy harassing the basketball team.

"So your kind has tiny balls. I'll keep that in mind," Georgia said without missing a beat. "Makes it all the better to put it in the mouth, I guess," she mimed the action, adding a slurp. The motion stayed while the players looked her way, and she winked at one in particular, who turned away with what Georgia thought was a flush (hard to tell from a distance).

"I think they're popping boners too," Georgia said, leaning forward and looking. "Very risque. That's definitely lockerroom action," Georgia frowned. "Actually, the girls' lockerroom is really just a lot of bitching and catiness and girls either openly flaunting or hiding." Georgia paused. "It like that for guys? Or have all the pornos been telling us a secret truth?"

Michael had a smirk. At least Georgia was not offended about the way he talked of her friend. But he also didn’t expect her to be. She likely could say worse on her own. There were times when Michael realised he was crossing the line but he did believe he had more restraints than his friend. Still, he liked her like that. It worked with the character he wanted to show to people. Georgia could argue that any girl around would be a cockblock to him and she’d also be true.

He laughed as she joked about his kind’s ‘balls’. “Smaller than yours for sure,” he said, eyeing towards her cleavage. Those would be hard to hide in pants. “I could give you stories about that,” he argued however not planning on giving her any. He was not all that interested in hearing the details of her sex life and could only imagine how she didn’t really care about every little thing he did with guys.

“God, I’d wish. But it’s about the same thing, but with a lot more ego and testosterone,” Michael told her, eyes on the game. He clapped loudly in his hands. “For once that I take for the guys with the most clothes, kick their ass, he said, just as loudly as the clap before. He sighed though once that was done. The coach or whatever didn’t seem all too pleased about them. Must think they troubled his players’ game. “I’m tired, wanna go elsewhere?” he asked her, turning to stare at Georgia.

Georgia just chuckled and pushed her arms together, helping to increase the amount of cleavage she had on display. Her lean body didn't lend itself too well toward an abundance of cleavage. That being said, someone had been quite generous when handing out breasts to the leggy blonde, definitely enough that Micheal's comment wasn't far off from being true even if it had been referencing the basketballs they were all handling just a few feet away.

Sadly the lockerrooms weren't as appealing as the rest of it. The thought about ego and testosterone had her smirking. "Sounds about like whatever happens any time more than one penis gets together," Georgia said, adding another chuckle. When Micheal started catcalling the game, Georgia added a whistle to help distract a little further.

"Aww, but I wanted to see who won," Georgia said, pushing off her seat and dusting off her legs. "Well, at least I should manage this. Get their attention," and the moment Michael did so, in whatever way he did, Georgia would pull her shirt up and give all the gathered boys the view of her "large balls."

Michael couldn’t care less about the abundance of cleavage his friend had. Considering he had no desire to go and play with it, he had no interest. Just because he didn’t want his face stuffed in it didn’t mean he couldn’t see why others would want to. And why girls would hate her for that. But they were just a bunch of jealous bitches with smaller boobs and Michael didn’t care about them. Hell, if they came to him to give her a message about this, he’d tell Georgia to show even more. Or she’d do it herself. She was more than capable to.

Michael had reasons to be disappointed too about the locker rooms. “Yeah and then you bring me in there and you see them all tightening their butts like I’m going to rape them.” Maybe he had only himself to blame. He did shove the fact he was gay in everyone’s face. Still, if they thought he wanted to look at them while they undressed or was just waiting from them to bend over in the shower, they thought way too highly of themselves. When in there, he just wanted to change like anybody else. It was hard to make them believe he wouldn’t get down on them unless they asked him too though. Again, maybe he should blame himself. But he’d never do that. It was easier to blame them. “Don’t they hate you in the girl’s one?”

“Does it really matter?” Michael asked, this time more sounding more serious. He didn't pay enough attention to know how many points were made. He didn’t even know how you counted them. Apparently it was more than say one point every time one tossed the ball through the net. When she asked for him to get their attention, Michael did not hesitate and started making enough noise for them to turn their head their way, even calling out at some. He started laughing when he saw Georgia’s plan in action. A nice commotion occurred after that and a coach nearly choked on this. Now was the time to run though, before he’d decide to come and get them for this. Michael did not hesitate, assuming Georgia would follow.

"I would pay good money to watch you try to rape some of these guys," Georgia offered with a slight smile. Okay, yes, making rape jokes was in bad taste or whatever. But just the picture of svelte, smarmy Michael attempting to mount a basketball player was enough to start Georgia's lips a twitching, let alone the actual reality.

For the time being, Georgia mostly ignored the query regarding her position in the girls' locker room. In reality, it differed depending on who was in there. Most people knew that Georgia was at least bicurious (the curious part mostly being "why isn't she just bisexual yet?), so she didn't catch too much flack in general. Now, put someone in who she'd flirted with or stolen a boy/girlfriend...

Top up, wink, and soon Georgia was heading out. She didn't quite stroll, but she also didn't see the need to run, not with how befuddled they all were. She'd be falling into step with Michael soon enough, nudging him and winking. "Betcha wish you could do that," she said, only half-teasing.

Michael gave Georgia a disapproving look at her comment. Somehow, he could already picture how she viewed it in her mind, some sort of poodle in heat trying to hump a husky or something like that. He couldn’t say he liked that image a whole lot. Even if he was pretty sure he could take any of these guys if he really wanted it. “Hey, they’d have the time of their life. But I like my face too much to risk them punching it,” he retorted. It was the reason why Michael always ran whenever there was danger, even when he caused it.

Which was what he did right after Georgia flashed them. Running might be a little excessive but he certainly didn’t wait for any of them to pick him up. Not that the team wanted to do that, for sure. He even heard a few people hooting and clapping. They clearly enjoyed the sight. Their coach/referee didn't share that feeling and he was the reason why Michael preferred to get out of the gym. That and, let’s be honest, basketball wasn’t very interesting.

He chuckled when they slowed down. “I could moon them, but that would take more time than you,” he agreed. He doubted he could do it though. Not really in his character. He was flashy but not to that point. He put that away to think of something else. “You’d pay over a hundred bucks to watch that?” he said, pointing a thumb behind them at the gym, talking of the basketball game. He couldn’t understand those who paid so much to watch a bunch of guys chasing after a ball. A concert, yes, a game, no.
