-- IC BEHAVIOR
- No powerplay, no metagame, no godmodding. Do not make it all about your character. You're not the only member playing here.
- All IC-crimes will be dealt with accordingly, as long as said crimes are discovered.
- We'd like for those who choose to play characters with mental illnesses and/or traumatizing stories, be it having killed/hurt someone, being abused in some form or another, or something similar, to do the proper research on the field. We're not in any way discouraging this from being included in your character's life, but we do ask that this is being properly read up on and written both maturely and realistically.
-- CHARACTER CREATION
- Make sure to read through the offered information regarding mutant abilities before writing up your ability. The first part of the document contain the needed information, and the rest shows suggestions to what kind of powers we're looking for, but is not limited to the ones listed.
- Remember to properly balance your power with limitations and side-effects. Each strong point should have a weak point.
- The staff reserves the right to ask a member to change or scrap a power if we feel as if the member in question doesn't understand the power they're writing.
-- THREADS & TIMELINES
- You can have as many, or as few threads as you'd like. Meaning that you can have several ongoing threads at once; we have no limit on that, and you have to be in charge of your own character's timeline.
- We go by liquid time here, meaning that whatever happened in thread a, has already happened in thread b, but what happens in thread b, has not yet occurred in thread a.
-- ACTIVITY
- We want to make sure that all positions and claims are available for people. So every month, the staff does a sweep of characters. If you have not posted IC during the past month (Games do not count), then your character is retired.
- We do not delete characters or accounts here. Just message a staffer about unretiring your character.
- If you're going to leave for a while, and would like to keep your characters active, leave us an absence note in the general discussion board.
-- MAKING NEW CHARACTERS
- When it comes to making new characters, we have no set rules about the process. However, although we're fine with you making new characters (and as many of them as you'd like), we still expect you to keep them all active. If we feel like these requirements haven't been met, the staff reserves the right to tell you that you cannot make more characters until you get your current ones active.
- There is no time limit and you don't have to wait ## days to make characters. However, the staff reserves the right to stop members from making new characters if they aren't active enough with the characters they already have.
-- WORD COUNT & EXPERIENCE
- There is no word count here. You can write as little, or as much as you will.
- There's also no posting order, but please, be respectful. If you feel like a thread isn't going the way you had hoped or expected, don't ignore it. Talk to each other.
- We also don't have a 'site level', which means that we welcome both new and experienced members.
- We allow all variants of posting templates, so feel free to be creative on that front, but make sure your posts are readable, without any glaring colors or the like.
- We do in no form or way force people to thread with each other. We understand that some people prefer plot related threads over "random encounters" (and vice versa), but please, communicate and be respectful towards each other's different 'posting styles'.
-- OOC BOX & OOC ENVIRONMENT
- Remember the golden rule; Do to others what you would have them do to you. Be respectful of other people. This also means being tolerant and keeping negative behavior IC where it belongs. Show respect in all manners; From language to being at least tolerant of other people's beliefs and stances. This goes both ways, though - don't force your believes and stances on other people.
- Please keep plotting out of the CBOX as much as possible, and don't spam/clog the chat.
- Do not nag people for posts, threads or replies. Remember that everyone writes and replies at their own pace, and if it ever becomes an issue, you should act maturely enough to take it up with said person instead of it becoming a huge issue.
- We don't care if you're an admin somewhere else. When you're here, you're just like everyone else and will be treated as such.
-- FACE CLAIMS & PLAY BY'S
- All face claims under the age of thirteen is not allowed.
- As long as a person is considered famous (paid to have their pictures taken; YouTube celebrities count), you can use them, though the Staff reserves the right to judge on a case by case basis.
- All play by's/face claims must be real life people, so we don't allow any anime/or no face claim at all.
-- TERMS OF SERVICE
- We'd like you to be mindful of the PROBOARDS TOS. We understand that with a setting such as this, things can get a little crazy, but we want to ask you to make sure it (whatever it might be; sex, violence, language) stays within said TOS.
- Keep in mind that threads that can have certain trigger effects such be marked as such; self-harm, drugs, death, pregnancy, or other 'major' life altering events.
- Fade to black/skip ahead as the clothes come off and hands head down below the waist (This also counts for extreme violence). PG-13 scenes are allowed.
-- LAST WORDS
Remember. TALK TO THE STAFF, we're here for you! We're committed to making this site a fun and open place for everyone but this cannot work if you don't follow the rules or you don't talk with the staff. We're always willing to make changes provided they work well for the site. Most importantly if they work for everyone. We want you guys to be in an environment where you can have fun, after all.
